Norinco M4 CQ5.56 Reliability - You Decide

Somebody replied to my email so I guess there working. Can't wait to get my new rifle. Have'nt fired an AR since my Army days.

I got my Norinco carbine from Frontier Firearms, delivered Monday. Dad and I hauled it up to the range today and fired off 150 rounds. It's my first AR, so I can't really compare it to anything, but it functioned flawlessly and seems quite accurate, so I'm happy with my purchase!

A quick video of 5 rounds:

I feel the same as hondatech.
I put 100 rounds through it with 0 issues. Again I can't compare it to anything as it is the first AR is have ever fired. The finish is good, the sights adjust nicely, it is balanced so well it makes it easy to shoot offhand.
So far so good. I want to scope it so I can get a better idea of the accuracy.

Does anyone have anything bad to say about these? I haven't read one bad thing. Worse thing I read was that the finish is nice but not as nice as their $1500-2000 counterparts. If that's it then these are the deal of the century.

Yep and this year the finish is nothing to shake a stick at, not perfect but for $699 everyone should buy one, otherwise there will be a lot of dickless people walking around here...

Ha alot of similar occurances, I took mine to the range today, 100 rounds shot beautifully and without adjusting the sights very nice grouping. I can even say I loved the trigger which I was sure was going to be horrible.

The rifle is a keeper, glad you like it.

On that note the trigger is not as bad as some of the AR afficinados claim.
The finish is not all that bad either except for the flaking on the stock and selector.

Still waiting on mine to arrive. In the mean time I've been reloading like a mad fool:

This is just the current pile (~700). I have a bunch in stripper clips/boxes as well. At least I'm productive? :)

Actually the finish on the aluminum is beautiful the only rough looking stuff is the metal on the barrel and front sight. I will have to post some pics as I think I got lucky. My trigger is crisp, after all the bad things I heard about the trigger I expected a spongy pull but not on this one. I can honestly say that if I did not know it is a norc I would think it was made by some other company!

Badger billed my Visa today. Must mean the transfer is approved. Hope it's on the way. I really need it by next weekend as I'm going out of town to my range. Questar RRA LAR 15 mags and couplers arrived also. I havn't been this excited for 20 years !!!:ar15:

Anyone order their's from Badger?
