Just looked at my cc statement, I lied. The Norincos weren't $340.95 at the door. They were $338.05 at the door.
Yes, you are right. Almost free!

Hey guys, got a little problem and think you are the right ones to answer my questions.
My father just received his brand new np29. We cycled a fair amount of snap caps thru it and got A LOT of jams. Seems like it's got a hard time ejecting. We really have to slam it and even then it jams most of the time.
First thing I noticed is the extractor is the same shape as a .45 extractor with bumps on both sides rather than just one as it seem to be the norm for 9mm 1911. Is this common on np29 or did I end up with a mismatched part?
Also, the extractor hook is not 90* or concave, it's convexe, which, in my limited knowledge, isn't right.
Will try and get pics soon.
CCI Blazer 124 GR runs flawlessly through mine. The Winchester Forged is garbage, I get one FTE or FTF every single mag. I have another 100 rounds or so. I read somewhere that the case diameters were slightly off. I should get my micrometer out and start comparing.
I had one 6-7 years ago. I thought it was great. No real sharp edges and I put 100 rounds into a 5" circle at 15 yards off a rest. It was a fun gun to shoot, and , really, who doesn't like shooting that platform? A pussycat in 9mm.
Sorry Meroh, should have given you the heads up. SFRC had a 17% off sale this past weekend. People who took advantage of the sale got their Np29s with taxes in shipped to their door for $318... Dang that's cheap!!! Lets hope there is another sale soon because there is still a few 1911 and Sig copy's left from their last batch.
I'm over 2000 rounds through my Nork .45 1911; and have tightend my groups up just by practicing. Home load 200gr. LSWCs all go in 5" at 10 yards, no bench rest, and over half go in 5" at 20 yards. I am really happy with the gun. Rarely any misfeeds, band I have yet to polish the feed ramp. Better gun than I ever imagined! Keeper! I am almost as god with the NZ85 and the NP58; and I am seriously considering getting both a 9mm version and the Commander version with the shorter barrel in .45. Best value in hand guns presently.
I now primarily use a Norc 45 commander and love it. It runs like a top and out of five 1911's I have owned over the years, it is the most accurate. Who'd a thunk it? It really loves the Campro plated 230gr with power pistol powder. Sweet fireball with each shot as a bonus. Chryst.......life is good!!!

It's been my only pistol now for almost a year.
I go to the range almost every week as it's about 10 minutes away.
I have been shooting it hard and fast and a lot. It's accurate, dead reliable, made of some hard steel and it costs almost nothing.
One of the best bang for buck range toys I've ever bought and I highly recommend the Norc 1911 in 9mm.
The machining on mine is actually quite good and the slide to frame fit is tight and very well done.
I used to have the .45 version and I prefered it to be honest but I can't afford $0.60 a round for a pistol cartridge and I don't reload.
