Norinco NS522 build: NEW MAG RELEASE

The stock is done, the rifle is still bone stock butu the action is bedded and the barrel is free float.

Next step will be the trigger spring and single feed *mag/insert*...

before and after...

Very nice! I really like the re-do on the stock. I have two of these rifles and I believe they work best as single shots. What kind of mag insert do you have planned?

Can someone please tell me what the trigger spring father used was from? I never received my spring and my rifle has been sitting here in pieces waiting for many months.

I had issues with my spring supply.

I have to admit the safety pin spring does little to inspire my confidence .

PM me your addy again for a spring .

That is amazing!

I love it man.

You inspired us so thanks to you Father !

I doubt these safety springs is a good long run choice because I don't think its made to be squeezed again and again...

If you order another batch of those *good* springs, I'm interested to buy one as well...

Man, I got sooo much love from everyone about this thread, so thanks to all.

This is the largest resource for this rifle on the web right now, so everyone pat yourself on the back and have 2-4 beers!

Oh, and to all interested.

I have a mod that will be completed and posted (with pics) by the weekend.

Can anyone guess what it may be?

Yes, thanks to Father for getting the ball rolling on this thread. As he said, this thread is the best resource on the Web about this particular rifle. Let's keep it going!

Went to the range today, it was a beautifull day !

The rifle has performed well. Now I feel the need for the trigger upgrade !

Here the ammo my rifle like the most, in order :

1st : Eley Match ( and by far... )
2nd : Fiocchi M320 match ( almost half price than the Eley'$ Match )
3rd : SK bulk and Remington target ( Eley'$ )

CCI : I achived great results with the CCI std and Green Tag but its really not consistent.

My rifle seem to like average to high velocity match ammo. The Fiocchi is a great find, I will order more of these.

I did it myself.

It was not bad at all, but I could see after a shooting session that the muzzle residue was not even. I used a 3/8 ball bearing and valve grinding compound.

My apologies for going back in the post sequence, but I would really appreciate a little more detail to clarify how you cleaned up the crown.

You can also use a brass round head screw/bolt and valve grinding or polishing compound to clean up a crown. Most hardware stores carry them. You want a threaded screw/bolt with a 5/16-3/8" outside diameter round head.

I would also appreciate clarification on hoe you cleaned up the crown with the threaded screw / bolt. Thanks
