T-97 update
I'm not a troll you dumbass.
I talked to them on friday, to ensure my order was processed (it was - I ordered in December btw).
I asked if that meant it was mailed, they said no. I inquired as to when it would be shipped, and was told that they were doing all the paper work, then mailing them all out next week.
You can call me a troll all you want, but that's what THEY told me.
I spoke to Mark (CanAm) this afternoon. As of this afternoon Canada Customs has NOT released the shipment of T-97's.
CanAm has NO IDEA when Canada Customs will release the T-97's.
CanAm is billing credit cards to speed up the process for when the do get the T-97's released to them.
Once the T-97's are finally released, CanAm must then do the transfers. As these are NON-restricted, it should be pretty darn quick as no CFO intervention is necessary unless you are a "bad boy" and flagged as such.
CanAm needs to have the firearm in their hands to enter the correct serial number in the transfer. Once transferred, it's shipping label and take them to the Post Office time.
Realistically, and this is gonna probably piss off a lot of the more impatient ones, realistically, don't expect to see a T-97 before the third week in February. This is just my estimate from having dealt with Customs and imports over the years.
Again at the risk of of offending some, CanAm has no idea whatsoever when the civil servants at Canada Customs will decide to play nice nice and release the shipment to them.
Canada Customs has been directly mandated by God to rule over mankind and make gun owners sweat. And like God, they can not be pushed or bullied or they will punish you.
And to those of you who still insist on believing that CanAm is gonna ship your rifle tomorrow at 3:00 PM, what can I say! Keep on keeping us all entertained here.
