Lies on the internet now that is revealing, buyer beware lots of dishonest out there
I would hope a professional business would have correct pricing for their online store. Just screams of poor management
Agreed. I can understand OP perhaps being disappointed that the price wasn't the same, but nothing beyond that is reasonable to complain about. He found a price for one model of stock (which wasn't the one he wanted), and then found out that the price for the stock he wanted (which is a different product) is higher. Nothing to complain about here.According to the OP, the product listed was a Remington, "both in the photo and description". He wanted an more expensive Mossberg and is obviously quite upset because he couldn't talk the business into selling their inventory at a loss.

Time to lock this thread. And then delete it.
Ah yes, if that's the case (and it looks to be so) then that changes the water on the beans. Does look to be a bit of a website frig up.The problem is that if the item heading says "Mossberg $134.99" and then when you click into the item, the picture is Remington and the text talks about Remington, there is clearly some confusion. The OP did the right thing by clarifying with the retailer.
Just saw this Jeff, our apologies, will make sure they send your 20 bucks back this morning.
I don't think he ordered the stock, in the end. At least it's just an insignificant $20 they might mistakenly send him!
I love how people jump all over someone else that bothers to make a post about a bad experience. Dollar value is irrelevant. The fact he took the time to state his experience in the proper forum should be appreciated and not attacked. Thanks for your post!
I am with the OP on this one. Lots of on-line retailers have "placeholder" pics of items so you really have no idea of exactly what you are getting, you just have to hope it is correctly listed. My take is that the store must be doing very well indeed to lose a customer over 15%, $20 on such a small item, because personally I would never, ever shop with them again. Their response SHOULD have been, "Certainly we will honour that price for you sir, and thank you for shopping with us! We will get that price/description/title fixed as soon as we can and thank you for asking about it." They could have quickly gone into the database and corrected it after that.
Your far too insignificant to do that.Awesome. Send me an insignificant $20. I'll pm you my email address.

Before I get into my little rant here I just want to say whoever I spoke with on the phone was very polite, very friendly and I in no way am annoyed or dismayed at that individual.
Browsed your website with the shipping promo interested in throwing my business your way. Looking at picking up a Magpul SGA stock for the Mossberg 500/590. Check it out on your website, price listed as $134.99. Great price! Can add it to my cart and everything to check tax, great.
But there is a problem, the picture is for a Rem 870 and so is the description. So I decide to call just to confirm that what I am about to order is in fact for the Mossberg. Once again spoke with a very polite and friendly employee on the phone.
She was helpful and found the stock for me, but guess what it is $155.99, pretty significant difference. To add to it your manager will not honor the website price which seems pulled from no where.
Every company prices Mossberg and Rem 870 SGA stocks roughly the same so unless they are last year model no idea where that price difference is coming from.
So to say in the least I am annoyed. Incorrect website price. Incorrect website description. Topped off with a manager without a customer first mentality. I shutter to think what I would have ended up with if I actually placed my order as the system puts me all the way to the final processing point and quotes me that price.
Unlikely to do business with ever.
PS: Representative on the phone you were very helpful, thank you.
they shouldn't be advertising false prices.
