NR pistol calibre carbines

Theuron Defense makes one as well.

My vote would go to the SUB2K, had one for a while and regret selling it. Very fun, very packable and non restricted.

It's in .45 but it's NR :D

No, the auto ordinance ones are TERRIBAD. Me mate went through 3 of them and ALL of them refused to feed.

its the mags.....

AO has a slightly different mag height for the release detent, and slightly wider, for lack of a better term" folded part" on the back of the mag.

-corwin arms mags will not feed for #### as they will sit to low and cause stove pipes with live rounds,
-AO mags feed pretty good
-KCI 30 mags are the best I have run.

I was loosing my mind with the miss feeds till i broke out the tape measure and went "well #### me sideways its not the same distance from the top to the magazine release detent"

chucked out offending mags and all the problems went away.

I am pretty much set for a CX4; interesting to see all the options in this category though; thanks.
Any reason I should re-think my first choice?
It's as much as I want to spend and I like the idea of it being compact and front grip/bipod-able. I thought I would ask about other options as I read the trigger is not that great on the CX4 and I do not really plan on spending several hundred more for an aftermarket kit to make it better.

The trigger is mush but the upgrade package from Sierra Papa is 130 I believe. Anyway from what I understand its a pain in the ass to install and there are no videos online of someone doing it. I have yet to purchase the upgrade but I would like to at some point.

Grrrr...I hate this. I should have pushed the button on the CX4 weeks ago and not asked any questions!
Okay, in my price range as other options:
Just Right Carbine (prefer the look of the Quadrail model)
Aero Survival Rifle
Kel-Tec Sub 2000 2nd Gen
Anyone got anything bad to report about these? Thanks again.

So far a big fan of the Sub-2000.

Was a fan of the concept when it came out, never owned a first gen but from what I read the gen 2 is a definate improvement. Finally could afford/justify buying one, wanted a combining buddy with more power than a .22LR.

Just got it a few days ago. Only fired 3 rounds so far, one dead squirrel.

Its rained a lot here last few days so combining on hold until next week so might get to try more mags and ammo in it.

I got one this spring and put a couple hundred rounds through it. Very few problems with Sellier & Bellot ammo. I actually love the gun, it's a ton of fun, and .30 carbine is a hot little round. Pretty packable with the paratrooper style folding stock.

I looked at Kel Tec site and the barrel is advertised as 16". Doesn't that make it a restricted or did I miss something??? Nice packing gun for real hikers by the way.
