I got my 12.5" Rem 870 barrel from Dlask today. What a work of art. Finish is flawless inside and out, thing looks factory. The only thing I think it's missing is Dlask's name or logo and a 12.5" stamp so the cops don't think you cut it yourself!

I'll hopefully have it out to the range this weekend... I'll hopefully have some videos of some 3.5" buckshot going through this... OUCH! hehe.

Anyway, pics: Click the pics or links for larger (1280x960) pics.

I got the package at work. Right after I got it I told them I was feeling sick, and left early to go home and install it :D
They thought it musta been anthrax in the package

Awesome! see if you can squeeze it into one of these... :)

The pain the pain!! I waited impatiently all weekend and mine didn't arrive today ....and I'm in BC! :? Guess the Canada ponies are slow.

Oh well, it looks like it will be worth the wait though.

A firearm that can fire after being reduced, by folding, telescoping or otherwise, to an overall length of less than 660 mm is restricted. So as long as it stays 660mm plus you are good to go, so the shotgun with the stock collapsed must be 660 mm or more in overall length. 660 millimeter = 25.984252 inch

Slightly OT but the 14" barrel and the Mesa 'folder' is exactly 32" OAL. That should make the 12.5" barreled version over 30" still.

is the sg with a 12.5 on prohib? if not where can I get all the cool grips and barrel from?
Nope, the shotgun is 28" OAL fully collapsed, and it remains non-restricted as long as you havn't cut the barrel, it has to be manufactured that short.
I'll dig up the thread that lists all the goodies on my shottie.

DOH! Mine arrived yesterday but I went too early before they were processed, had to wait until this am.
Picked it up and are they ever nice! Mine has a bead sight and will eventually wear some other form of barrel mounted tactical sight, not sure what yet.
Going out tomorrow or Thursday to tortute test them, will post pics then.

Cheers

Rem 870

Sooo nice.

I've been looking around for a shotgun and well, with execption of the sight and front pistol grip, thats what i'm lookin for. Any help with the mods / whats on it / pricing?

Thanks.

CyberK,
The cost was $299 each (plus tax and S&H) and they are well worth the $$. AS for availability I am not sure how large the first production run was but it looks like there will be more, I suggest you call Dlask directly and speak with Dean or try emailing, I have gotten fast email response from Dlask.
Here is a pic of my plain (compared to sxyglock's) 870, I will have more range test pics to post later.

Hi guys,
Quote NaOH: "Ike, get rid of that wood and get some black plastic on that thing!!!"

NaOH, do you mean something like this? ;)

I prefer wood these days, mostly because it's not as slippery when wet.
BUT, I would go to the plastic pistol/fullstock combo if I could find a good one without speedfeed, I like that setup best.

I have concerns about the lack of factory markings as to, make etc.
I thought the whole idea of getting it from a licensed manufacturer was to be able to prove it was not a home made barrel..

Good luck explaining a short barrel like that with no markings to any LEO

That's what the registration card is for of course ;)
They are easily distinguishable from a factory Rem bbl, and also Dlask will be marking them. Until then it might be an idea to carry the receipt with the reg cert.

Cheers
