OH BABY! 12.5" Rem 870 barrel arrived from Dlask today!

We're going to try something new to make these things. Contouring them is easy, drilling pre hardened 4140 is another thing. CNC shops won't do it because it's not enough money for them. I'll know if I'm going back to seamless tubing by tomorrow. We're also working on an accessory rail forend that should be done by the end of the month.

OOOoooo more details on the rail forend please.

Quick question for those who have any of these barrels... is the bore "mirror-shiny" or are there visible tool markings?

I have a Benelli barrel which is like looking down a tube made of mirror and I've also had some Remington barrels which looked very rough in comparison.

Just curious with the DLASK ones,
Thanks :)

Mine are as smooth or smoother than the Remington barrels they replaced. I believe Benelli bores are chromed to make them mirror like.
Cheers

In the pics on page 1 it looks like the barrel band is brazed on. Is it really brazed, or is it welded?

What about on a Remington bbl? are they brazed or welded?

For the price, I'd like to see TIG welded brackets - but that's just me.

Remington barrel bands are brazed on so it should be plenty strong.

Cheers

Nice very nice. Where did you get the rear stock, and adapter?
Want one just like it.
Thanx
The stock adapter is a Brobee AR15 to 870 stock adapter, and I had to give me left nut to get it.
The stock is a 6 position Rock River Arms set, and she's held up flawlessly through some very harsh 3.5" magnum buckshot rounds :)

Are YOU serious? It's about time they brought back the best! DAMN!

What they going for now? Maybe I can get my nut back ;)

Where can I get the Robee to AR15 to 870 adapter locally here in BC.
I cant wait to get it togeather, bought a Wingmaster from a female officer at work for $100.00 with a case of shells to boot. Has the speed stock like at work, I am selling that and the 28" vent rib barrel then I will replace the syn. fore stock with a surefire factory forend. Need your help to locate the adapter. If you know of one I will pruchase pronto. Thanx Bud.

where did you get the scope mount? im looking for a similar setup. the only other ones ive seen have the saddle side mount, and i want something that just goes up top front. Im assuming you need to drill for the mount?

i like the full rail mount at allengunworks, but i want to keep the rifle sights so im just looking for something that goes the lenght of the reciever. any ideas?

It was a standard picatinny rail installed by my local gun shop. It's drilled and tapped into the receiver with three screws.
