Opinion on the Valmet Hunter

Im pretty glad i found this thread. I have a valmet m78 and a barrel blank here, i have to convert the rifle from 223 to 7.62x39 for a guy. Quite a bit of info in this thread.

Keep an eye on the EE, they come up occasionally. Heck, I'm debating selling my 7.62x39 Hunter project.... I just never seem to have the time to finish it.

Is that a weld job I see at the rear of the receiver?

I have a plastic version on the go. I was able to get a galil arm bipod, gas block, carry handle, plastic hanguards,... Again, most annoying part is finding/making/adapting a stock to the M88!

I have a full time job and a farm - not too much free time for things like this, but if I ever get this to the point where I'm not ashamed to accept money for it, I'll let you know...

I'm not sure there's money to be made for anything but an extra beer here and there, machining is expensive...

i'd pay for the finished cad file... or i can send you beer.
