CQB Match #1 - After action report
Hey guys and gals.
The ORA completed Match #1 of the CQB season today under pretty darn fine weather conditions at Langemark Range, CFB Borden. A sprinkle of rain at the start of the match proper and then warm sunny skies.
We had a total of 45 participants today for the first match of season with a mix of veterans and newbies alike. We were even able to convince Hungry to shoot with us which always adds to the fun.
Tim K has instituted a new organizational system that will allow us to efficiently run events with more participants. Due to demand we have to find ways to successfully grow and today was good test/demonstration of that new system.
A big thanks to all of the ORA Service Committee who shouldered a big part of the load today, particularly Dave for ARO duties, and JayT who was our special guest ARO today.
The same goes to all the participants who made the match efficient, a lot of fun and we more than willing to pitch-in and help with set up and tear down. Super big thanks to Plink and Maritimer for handling stats and of course Tim K who does more than we really know to make these events happen.
For all participants and spectators:
Please post your pictures, videos, questions and comments below. We have some (potentially) tremendously interesting video to come from Ganderite after today's match....assuming the camera survived
Spectators - did ya get the itch to get in on this and have a blast with us?
Note: I LOVE my muzzle brake....except during modified prone
. The sand at Langemark tastes pretty much like you would expect.
I have a couple of plans up my sleeve though. Bwahahahaha
