Yep, that is a poor policy if you want to sell to members of this board. I will never buy from you.
{snip}... those that want armor, there is a million other places to get it...
How can i do a background check as a retail store? How do I know who is good or bad? I cant and for me to do it on a 1 on 1 who I think basis wouldnt work either.
I know there could be a answer to fix this but I cant figure one out without getting screwed in the end.
Hotnix;
If a retail gun shop took your statement and simply changed the words "body armour" to "firearms" would it still seem reasonable to you?
I am not showing anyone my PAL when the law doesn't require it.Maybe asking for a PAL is the right answer. I do want to sell armour to the guys here in vancouver doing tac rifle, ect. They problem is opening it up to the public has alot of negativity that goes along with it. This is something I will have to look into and hopefully get it resolved asap. I do like the PAL idea.

It is your absolutely right to put whatever restrictions on your sales that you wish. It is also our right to conclude that you consider those of us who are not LEO, military, ambulance or security second class citizens whose lives are less worthy of protection.
BTW, do you put the same restriction on the Halligan tool? Great little device for housebreakers.
It's not about the body armor, Wes. Not at all. I, for one, have no interest whatsoever in buying body armor. It's about doing business with businesses that you feel comfortable dealing with. And there are some of us that no longer feel comfortable doing business with a company that chooses to treat us like criminals.
{big snip}... more to come I am sure.... the sense of entitlement with this crowd is huge...
Seriously guys. I have seen Harleys used by lots of people that are not LE/security types. Heck even my complex analysis prof had one. Knew how to drive it and fix it too. But if I saw him going to class in a vest, I'd question it.
What is body armor legitimately used for outside of what Dave's lists? Educate me. Seriously.
I completely understand that some people don't like their rights being stepped on, but this is a business' decision, not a governments. A business does not have the ability to grant or infringe on your rights.
Businesses can help to change culture though. If there are legitimate uses for vests outside of Dave's list, educate us, so that society does not lean further in the direction that it seams some are fearing.
Given my limited experience with people outside of Dave's list wearing body armor, I have to think their decision is a good one. If I am wrong, I would like to hear how.
Been to a firing range lately ? with all these new reloaders & guns blowing up
Thats the only place I would want one for
I personally don't have a use for Body armor at the moment. Unless of course the Chinese invade. But I want the right to be able to purchase these items if the circumstances call for it. To be denied this right is just another step in the wrong direction and an infringement on our rights and freedoms and it shouldn't be taken lightly.
