PAL "in progress"

They recived mine on the 13th of March but it wasen't on the site until the 27th, two weeks after they recived it. When it finally was put on the site it said recived march 13th ect. I wouldnt worry until for another week.

Maybe you should call the CFC and inquire as to the status of your application.
 
I'm still waiting...app received on Feb 26...approved and issued on March 26.....I called on Friday to inquire.....the nice lady on the phone said that they only print cards once a week, then they go through quality control and then from there they are sent out and that if I do not receive it in the mail by the end of April to call them back.....

Mine didnt show up on the site at all and was about 33 days after i sent it when I called the cfc. The nice lady told me she checked and its passed the initial processing to check for errors and is in que. The same lady(I am pretty sure it was) called me back in ten minutes for my interview and also my reference both within the hour and my licence showed completed and in the mail about an hour after that. Calling certainly seemed to help in my case. my rpal licence arrived by mail a week later.

They only print once a week on Fridays, depends on where you are, it might takes up to 2 weeks (10 business days from N.B to B.C) for you to get it in the mail.
 
Well i'm hoping that it arrives in the mail on Monday....I see that another member received his license on Friday (both our licenses were approved on the same day). He is in Alberta and i'm in Ontario. Funny how the postal system works...My new pistol in waiting for me at the gun shop........

If you contact them they will tell you to wait for two weeks and try again. I contacted them the week after it had been signed for and they told me to check back when its been two weeks. So this friday is going to be 2 weeks, but its a long weekend so I'll do it thurs!
 
Got today in the mail.....39 days from the day they received it.....i took 3 weeks to show up on the site showing that they had received it and approved exactly 28 days later.....
 
hey guys, got an update for you. As you might remember, Friday my name/application was not showing up at all. Today, I see this: Your application has been received. It is currently being processed. You have been, or will be contacted either by phone or by mail for additional information. Please check the status again at a later date.

It says it was recieved on the 23rd of March, but didn't show up on the site until the 4th of April. Nothing like that speedy, prompt, government service.
 
Do people renewing an expired FAC's still fall into the 28 day waiting period?

What would the expected turnaround time be on someone with an expired FAC?
 
I did a three day course for Hunting/PaL/restricted in October and my stuff showed up in the mail 4 /5 months later!!! I had already purcashed guns before the mail showed up. You just have to stick it out!!!haha
 
I just check the CFC for mine today:

Application Received on: 2009/03/26

Current Status: Your application has completed initial processing. It is now in progress. Please check the status again at a later date.

Thats when they signed for it for mine and my wifes. they finally updated the online. Now to wait.
 
Sent my PAL/RPAL application on March 12, 2009. Both references and I were contacted on April 7, 2009. Still no info shows up on the RCMP website.

Think this may be an indication of a problem?
