Ouch. Scrubbed all the history right out of it. I remember seeing this lady on that antiques roadshow who refinished some rare piece of furniture, unfinished price $250,000...refinished $15,000. The look on her face.I hate to say it... looked better before
Personal preference. There are millions of these things. I'm a shooter not a collector. These guns were meant to be shot. If you don't shoot it and keep it, then your grand kids might make a profit on it. Even numbers matching aren't THAT rare. Up to you... I chose to shoot mine and have fun with it while I can!
