Pictures of the SKS bought from westrifle.com

Awesome thanks ... Im a shooter as well, got my license to "inherit" rifles from my grandfather that i grew up shooting. Now I cant wait til my sons old enough to learn as well. Thanks for the answers!

No problem!

Thats fantastic. That is the very reason that prompted me to go get my gun licence. I have fond memories of my granfather taking me shooting as a young boy. Some of the best memories from my childhood for sure. First gun I shot was an old Cooey model 64 that my gradfathers sister had bought him to "teach the kids to shoot" My father learned on it, as did I.

Getting your kids into shooting is the BEST thing you can do. Teaches them a respect for guns, and just a general sense of respect. Also saves them from learning about guns from the media like most citiots (soccer moms et al)... The biggest source of misinformation going today...

I hate to say it... looked better before
Ouch. Scrubbed all the history right out of it. I remember seeing this lady on that antiques roadshow who refinished some rare piece of furniture, unfinished price $250,000...refinished $15,000. The look on her face.

Personal preference. There are millions of these things. I'm a shooter not a collector. These guns were meant to be shot. If you don't shoot it and keep it, then your grand kids might make a profit on it. Even numbers matching aren't THAT rare. Up to you... I chose to shoot mine and have fun with it while I can!

Solution is get one to keep, and one to shoot!

Maybe 50 years from now cgners will :bigHug::bigHug::bigHug::bigHug::bigHug: that we bubba'd and shot these gems as they do with folks who enjoyed their cheap Lee Enfields. So I say to the unborn future gun enthusiasts, "Fvck off, we're havin fun"!

i am tired of picking through the crates at the local shops trying to find a nice sks and getting covered in cosmoline. maybe i should just order one from westrifle with some leftover Christmas cash? i cant find one that fits together nice at the front of the handguard.
those are some beautiful rifles!

No pictures but I got my rifle quickly and it was exactly what I expected and wanted. Great service and great products, exactly as advertised.
Thanks Westrifle.

Finally got it out to the range!

Awesome, what he didn't say was that I was with him and I hit a clay pigeon on a stick at 100m with my first shot. That is right out of the box with no sight adjustments at all! Too bad we didn't have the camera running for that. It has a decent sight but it is the worst trigger I have ever pulled. Does anyone have a fix for that?
