Place of birth needed for Ammo purchase ?

Might not even be a policy. Seen similar things happen to shops, you need a prompt for something but it gets applied to the whole site. Now you cant remove it from the rest of the site without taking it off the part that is actually required.

I've had guys on CGN ask for a lot of ID, way too much...getting close to a DNA swab, thumbprint and dental records
If you really want this dangerous Savage .22, I'm gonna need to know your PP size, mother's maiden name, §exual orientation, favourite colour, first car, first concert, credit card number, expiry date and cvv number.

You forgot the most important question. Do you unspool your toilet paper roll from over the top or out from under the bottom???

I literally said, if you don’t like the stores policy for ID, take your business elsewhere, I can’t stress that enough, I can draw it out IKEA instruction style if it’s easier.
I wish we had the options to do that. In Regina we have Cabs, a private store ( can be pricey) and a 45 minute drive to another shop - with gas @ 1.39 it takes any deal away, so we have to pee and moan.

I don't get the eagerness to go above and beyond the requirements of the law. Where does this type of mentality come from?
Beat into the psyche since the late 70”s, must appease the overlords! I seen it first hand with my Wife when we got our place in Texas - It was baby steps, you don’t need to lock up the pistol when you leave the house, then on to the next step, you can take the pistol with you in the truck console and finally to her purse while out shopping.

Had to let her do it at her own speed, but it was a tangible hang up for her, programming is a strong tool. Even though we have constitutional carry, she has completed her LTC course now, for more comprehensive legal protections and has finally thrown off the last of the shackles but it was something to observe.
