In the spirit of promoting the clays shooting sports we have this great sub-forum but rarely does anyone share much info about their home club. So let's post some pics of our clubs, the logo and maybe a bit about what your has club has for facilities and what kind of organized shoots are held. I'll start the ball rolling. My current home club is The Lloydminster Gun Club. The club was built in 1956 and sits on 10 acres of land on the SK side of Hwy 17, the highway that divides SK and AB six miles south of the city of Lloydminster, Canada's only border city being part of both AB and SK.
It is a shotguns only discipline club consisting of 6 trap fields( 3 in use and 3 spares if needed for larger events) and 1 skeet field. The trap fields utilize wired voice release systems connected to Pat Trap machines all with doubles capability. The skeet field utilizes western skeet machines with a wireless remote controller. The club is open each monday and thursday evening spring through fall until freeze up then is closed for the season.
There is a camping area with electric and water hook ups for two dozen or so camper trailers, motorhomes etc..
For those wishing to pattern their guns there is a two sided pattern board with steel flat on one side that uses a grease roller for covering the steel to see your shot and a wood framed side for stapling cardboard or paper too if you want to bring home your pattern sheets to evaluate. There is a club house that has a full kitchen though the entire clubhouse is getting to the point it needs some tlc and renovations and rarely gets used except at registered events. Their is washrooms with hot running water and flush toilets and an office and classification counter.
Currently the club hosts one organized shoot per year, an ATA registered trap shoot each May over a three day period(Fri/Sat/Sun) with 3-100 target events daily, 100 singles, 100 handicap and 50 pair of doubles enabling shooter to get as many as 900 targets over the course of the three days. The shoot is always the first shoot of the season for SATA's(Saskatchewan Amateur Trap Association) yearly roster.
Club memberships are available at $25 per year per person. Target fees are $5.00 per round to members and $7.50 per round to non-members and we are open to non-members stopping in to shoot without having to be a guest of a member or requiring a membership to shoot for the 2021 season. Members can purchase a $50 pre-paid ten rounds card so for the price of $75 a non-member can basically buy a membership and ten rounds for the price of what just 10 rounds would cost at non-member rates, a win-win in anyone's book.
Here are a few pics.....

I was there years ago hunting with some friends. Walked all around the place on the adjoining property flushing grouse and cottontails but the club was closed so never got a chance to check it out though we were hoping to. What about it do you not like?

We have 6 dedicated American trap fields, one International trap bunker, 3 dedicated American skeet fields, one International skeet field and one field that is an overlay of American trap on American skeet. We also have a 15 machine 5-stand and a 16 station, 34 machine sporting clays course. We also offer an airconditioned clubhouse and 12 (free to use) 20 amp camping sites. Open Tuesdays and Thursdays 6 p.m. to dusk and Sundays 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Membership is $125 for single or $150 for family (spouse and children under 18) and targets can be as cheap as $.20 for members. We also have a junior shooting program where shooters under the age 18 receive up to 15 rounds of targets and shells for free per season. PAL and an inhouse orientation ($60 - includes 50 shells and 50 targets) required to become a member.

In the picture below, the range with the berms you see in the top left hand corner belong to the Saskatoon Wildlife Federation. That is their 300 meter rifle and handgun facility. It is not part of our range.

Awesome looking facility! How many are usually out on a weeknight? Sunday?

On a weeknight we can have as few as 5 members show up or as many as 30. Sundays are usually around the 15 mark for people attending. Really depends on time of year and weather. We have developed a league for all disciplines and that has seemed to help, gets people out to socialize and shoot a little more. We only have approximately 100 members this year. I think Covid has kept people away. Usually we hover around the 175-200 members.

My wife and I stopped in there one day returning home from a fishing trip in MB to watch the 2019 Provincials. Absolutely amazing facility. We thought about going over this weekend for the shoot thats being held but with SK provincials in Swift next weekend followed by Western zone in edmonton and AB provincials then Canadians the next 4-5 weekends we opted to sit this weekend out. Thanks for contributing to the thread and you guys not only have a world class facility but you have some amazing programs!! And we will get there yet. I have a buddy in stoon that is a member there and we keep trying to co-ordinate get together times to shoot. I've always wanted to try international trap & skeet. Now I know where to go to give it a shot!

If you can a trip coordinated, let me know, I would like to meet you! The bunker was only open once so far this year as there is no one at the club that actively shoots it at the moment and it takes a bit of knowledge to get set up. Same goes for international skeet, only 2 members shoot it competitively and no one else uses the field.

Sounds good. I'd like to meet you too. We have a fellow who just started shooting this season and is really interested in International skeet. This weekend he is at the Stampede Grand in Calgary shooting his first registered trap events. He posted a 97 today in singles! The guy had never owned or shot a gun until about a month ago! He'll want to tag along as well. Maybe try to get together sometime between Aug 8(last day of Canadians) and the last weekend in August when I head to Wainwright to shoot a memorial shoot in honour of a great fellow trapshooter we lost this year.

The Moncton Gun Club
3 Skeet Fields, 4 Trap Fields, 1 5-Stand
Located between Riverview and Hillsborough, NB
Founded officially in 1931, was around since 1910, some of the trophies in the case date back 1919.

I wish I could open up that link to check it out but I don't do facebook. Sounds like the club has quite a history. That would be something seeing shooting trophies and memorabilia in ones local club on display dating back to the year after WW1 ended! Are any of the names from founding members families still residing in the area today and are any of the club members related to those individuals of the past? Quite an interesting history write up on the website. Don't know how up to date this site is but I found the site after using my duckduckgo calling skills!

A great bunch of guys to shoot with.

A club does not have to be big to be good! Sounds like you have a real nice setup. Thanks for posting. Once all these travel restrictions are finally over with my wife and I will know where we can shoot when we head to the east coast to visit her family. She has family in both NB and PEI. Bear River(near Nufrage Harbour) is where she is from and raised her family there.
