PRS Match CDTSA Milo Range

^^
Ding ding ding

Are you saying nobody will look at me funny if I show up at Milo and shoot through small holes, free hand with obstacles, and in odd positions?

Kidding. I know that's not allowed. Just kinda my point. Many people don't and can't shoot many of these positions so it'll be a good learning experience by most.

I agree with your point. But, Arctic Cat' statement is still true.

Experience in dynamic shooting is going to be a big advantage in this.

^ you know it, flying lotus drills are tough!

Well, got out and confirmed dope to within a tenth mil out to 500m today. Did some 50m wind sprints to rapid fire dots drills, then finished to day off with some urban prone shooting and some modified urban prone (sideways off a root bulb). The math on this was pretty neat to confirm. Checked these out to 300m, and finished the day with a personal best from urban prone for me at 300m.

Nice!

I am very jealous of you guys. Your going to have a lot of fun.
Im too broke and I don't have enough time to take on another discipline right now. So like a creepy bastard I might be just sitting, lurking in the shadows..... watching.....

Come shoot your AR like myself! =)

(I'll probably show up with both my .308 and AR)

All my AR ammo is for Service Rifle and 3 gun...... and I am still going to be short. Need to make another 1000.

Understandable. I'm going through an adventure to try and get this gun to shoot reasonably well. I've seen some rather good groups out of it, but hope to build up a load for the PRS match. I will have little time to develop and no time to test really, but it's for fun.

Could share what I find out. Might be a quick reference for you in the future.

If the match is cleaned 100% there will be 58 rounds. Some stages have a round limit and then others have a hit requirement (most have a hit requirement).

Are volunteers needed?

Volunteers are always required for most sporting events, however we've ran into problems in the past where volunteers are not covered by insurance to help on days prior to the event ON THE RANGE. The event fee pays for insurance for the day of the event only.

Ryan can provide more info on opportunities outside of range work though.

Nice that you are offering!

The official COF should be coming soon but here is a quick summary below.

1) 200M coldbore
2) Dot drill
3) Standing & Kneeling/Sitting shooting
4) Urban prone
5) PRS tiebreaker (#2 if I remember correctly)
6) Barricade, prone, support side shooting
7) Roof top
8) Stuff on saw horses
9) Prone stuff

If you have never got off your belly this match will be difficult. A super high-end 1/4 MOA rifle is not necessary to run this match as most targets are at least 1MOA in size. Time limits are what I think are tight but I am sure some individuals will find the COF easy. Getting your rifle ready to go will be an important skill as you don't always get to start on your gun. There is stage that is a bit more physical but nothing too hard.

I hope it is challenging enough for most.

What are the rules in regard to removing or adding accessories to the rifle during each stage.
For example, can the bipod be removed prior to a stage where it is not required? Same with the sling?
Can they be added as necessary or must the rifle remain as configured at the start of the match to the end of the match?
