PRS Match CDTSA Milo Range

how are you planning on securing the barricade? Legs that are pegged into the ground, or more of the flimsy approach?

The base of the barricade is about 3' to 4' if I remember correctly. It is fairly stable but I won't be staking it to the ground or anything like that.

Much sturdier than a VTAC barricade.

Skateboard tape or grip tape. Available at Princess Auto and other stores should help.

Could also use wood strips for traction too. A lot more solid than grip tape. I think with that pitch you might want to put strips down instead.

Good stuff!

Lots of preparing yet to do. Just started reloading last night for three guns. Finally read the COF. Should be a good time.

Fingers crossed the weather works out for us. Looks like great temp and moderate winds. Will make my 223 dance!

Reminder to bring a lot of water and food. Shade may be hard to find depending on shooting locations.

I didn't see anything in this thread about it, but what about spectators? Can we come out and watch?

I really hope this PRS style matches catch on. I would like to try.

I'm curious about the answer also. Another one; will the range be closed completely for the members who will not attend the PRS but still want to shoot? I know we can use Shepard but want to watch the competition also :)

Maybe Joka can chime in but I don't think I can stop members from watching if they happen to be at the range at the same time.

Only range 2 is closed for the event. Range one will be used temporarily but the COF is designed to minimize the impact to other members.

Shibby, brings up a good point. Food and water are important as there is nothing close by and we can't have competitors wandering off.

Non-members don't have insurance and therefore have not been allowed in the past. I can only assume it's the same situation here. Especially because other ranges will be active. There is also a Tavor training course going on the same day at Milo.

Members are free to go to the range whenever they want. (within club rules). Other ranges will be open so if you happen to be there at the same time, you're all good. Guests with VALID guests passes will also carry the correct insurance. Direct supervision required.

As a personal opinion, please be courteous of the shooters, event directors and RO's. Drawing attention away from competition or talking loudly can cause significant issues with some shooters and control of the event. Not saying you can't chit chat, just do it in a fashion that is polite. Many/most/all shooters will have electronic ear muffs on, background noise can often overcome instructions from RO's, score recording, etc.

Some reports of moderate winds for Saturday. Things will spice up a lot if that's the case. Starting to worry about my gun choice. haha.

Range 2 will be closed for the PRS match.
Range 3 will be closed for the Tavor course (Feat. "Lovie") SO DONT WONDER OFF GETTING DISTRACTED GUYS!

All other ranges will be open for regular member use.

Spectating the PRS match for members is all good. (Shibby is correct about non members, they cant step onto a range without a guest pass, but you can purchase one for cheap just to watch if you want)

Spectating the Tavor course shouldn't be allowed as it is a paid course. But you can ask the guys running the course if it is OK to peak.

Insurance cost is 10$?

Wonder if Karl is bringing the 999 guest passes...

Guest passes are the same price as what Ryan is charging for non members.
Ryan? Whats the magic number?

(New stands were supposed to get transported out there today. Hopefully they are getting installed right now. I am sure I will know more tonight)

I mean how much are you charging PER guest pass :)

(You should have spares just incase someone does show up and want to pay to watch)
