Thanks, "Drawblood." The gun shooting well sure helps to make me look good.

My 10/22 is an all weather stainless model (which isn't even made anymore, far as I know.) bought 6 + years ago.
I don't own a share in Ruger, so I could careless if people dislike it.
.... But to say it's a POS is unfair. Those same people don't bother trying out different loads, and I can tell you - I was one of those people that thought it was a POS too.
The only reason why I bothered myself checking was because, I now use it for wood rat hunting. (Unfortunately I have to kill them.)
I may not have cared much about my target, but I certainly care when shooting at a living animal, to ensure a clean, effective, ethical kill.
I think there was too much focus on the size of the peice of paper, or the rings and dots I used. I didn't care if I hit the dot or not, as the gun wasn't sighted in using any of that ammo. I was interested in the GROUPS. They were only used as a aimpoint. With a POS $80 scope it's pretty damn hard to see a tiny red dot on a peice of paper.
Obvously, the Stringers are now my go to wood rat gun. Which is funny because, my best friend has the SAME damn gun, and it couldn't hit the barn door with them. His likes Elley sub sonics.
