Nice set up , glad you like you XCR > I have a M and L ( 223/6.8)
I have had no problems at all with ethier,I use Hornady Match and V MAx, and A Max so far with excellent results,
I just put new scopes on when I get out I will post the results

Best advice to take from this thread....don't post a thread on CGN.
Too many here like to preach, rant, critique etc.
Its rare on CGN to see posts that are purely positive or encouraging. The posts are full of " you should have", "thats isn't", ........

Ya, that's pretty much any Internet forum. I can honestly say I can ignore most of the negative stuff, and enjoy the good contributions to this site. Some can't, which is unfortunate.

I agree completely, but hey they are paying for ammo, how can a guy say no?

I wasn't lumping you into that statement at all... I think you are dealing with the criticism the best way possible and am looking forward to the results.

My point was more to the point that no matter what somebody posts, you will always have people posting their negative comments and this is true on any forum, not just this one.

Actually, I have been on many forums where that isn't the case. I'm somewhat saddened that the community here is this way; something I noticed early on and it's something that has been allowed to happen (and continue). It is what it is, but basically it means I will lurk a lot more while participating a lot less.

Someone should take video if Sharpshooter does in fact follow through on this, because I'd love the see their faces if/when he duplicates the feat. For all that we are supposed to be adults, there is a surprising lack of respect. If a man tells me he hit a hole in one, I believe him... and if I don't, I'm not so rude as to call him a liar to his face in public. Make the offer to take him out shooting, sure - be skeptical - but don't be a jerk.

If it comes out later that he lied or was overly boastful, then by all means point it out and rub it in... until then he deserves the benefit of the doubt.

I think you fellows are missing the fact that its actual xcr owners calling bull here.
One can only be as good as the gun.
.35 moa, twice, on the same paper. 10 round groups.
Most extremely accurate bolt guns can't do that.
Next to impossible with a les Baer or accurized noveske ar.
If anyone believes this, you clearly haven't done much shooting...

Thanks for the range report Sharpshooter jr. Beautiful rifle you got there!

You let the barrel cool off between shots I guess?

The XCR is plenty accurate for a battle rifle. The high-end scope and quality ammo make a difference. Not sure we have any reason not to trust the OP...

I really hope people don't think I'm not going to follow up with this shooting event, because I 100% plan on it, and I just put the calipers to the 10 round groups and the pictures will be posted shortly. When we do this event, if I don't produce the same groups, will I be discouraged? No, say I shoot 3/4 moa or even 1moa with 10 shots, that still awesome for an XCR, that being said, I did shoot those groups I posted as I said I did, despite the skepticism, which certain acceptable for the XCR owners and all black gun owners alike, my DDM4V5 could only shoot 2-3 moa at 100, so these groups are certainly a nice change from that.

As promised

At 124 meters, that would be great bolt gun shooting. Anyways, best of luck Alex!

LOL sorry Dude, just pullin' your chain, couldn't resist ;)
I think it would be fabulous to see you repeat that level of shooting

I think that this is a good idea, as long as the conditions are decent I think that this should happen, I would welcome the opportunity to go shooting with you and show you the groups that this XCR has been putting out. I don't suppose the 20th will work for you would it?

20th is good if we do it at your range. If the 21st works, I might suggest you come for a morning of shooting the CDTSA service rifle event, and then we can go from there.

To all of those who are chiming in with negative vibes, this is a friendly little wager -the OP can accept or decline.
Sure I've called out a big fat bullish!t to his claim:p, but I did it with the proverbial smile on my face;)
I've offered a days worth of shooting and if he can replicate it, ammo and diner is on me - how's that whining or getting my panties all twisted up?

Lets not forget there are 2 parts to this, one with the XCR and it's preformance and then I'm wanting to see if you indeed in fact are a better shot then me, as you claimed you are, so you bring your best shooting rifle and some factory ammo, and you shoot your best 5 round group and I will shoot my best 5 round group using the same ammo and rifle, that way we can see just for fun who had bragging rights over the other, is that acceptable? I'm not familiar with the shooting event you mentioned but hey I'm always looking to try new things, my range is incredibly unfounded and only good out to 200 yards, if you have something better I'm willing to drive for some friendly competition

3 round groups are good enough for this guy.

If it can put 3 rounds sub MOA consistently, then it can do 4-5 round groups as well.

Even if the next 1 or 2 shots spread it out by an inch or more, a 3 round group still demonstrates the ability of a rifle good enough for this guy.

Keep in mind it's a semi auto "battle" rifle we're talking about here. I highly doubt anyone would expect 10 rounds inside a dime with it for facks sake, so many people on here love splitting hairs for the sake of flexing their internet muscles I guess....

Flame on armchair commandos!

Did I claim to be a better shot? I don't recall that, but yeah I'll put out for bragging rights.
200 yards should do just fine. I'll bring a trunk full of ammo and some bang sticks - do they need to be non-restricted, or is your range ok for restricted?

My range is fine for restricteds, but for this bragging right competition, the proposed rifle, is it scoped or irons? Admittedly, I can't shoot consistently with irons, however with a scope, I will give you some good competition. Look at your post #60, that where you called me out on this out shooting one another thing

Yeah, doubt it....(that being a better shot than me means he can defy natural law).
But I see what you did there, and good one.;)

This one? What I meant in the bracketed portion is that I very much doubt a stock XCR is capable of these groups, regardless of who's behind the trigger (or even if in a machine rest for that matter).

I would certainly say scopes for sure.
