Robarms XCR FAQ post

It sounds like the stock is too high for the rings chosen causing you to press hard into the stock with your cheek weld in order to get a good sight picture.

Lower the stock via allen screw adjustment or if you are already as low as the stock will adjust, get higher rings.

Everyone is different but I have a 30mm tube in a PEPR with a reflex sight on a 45 degree Picatinny. I can have a good cheek weld for the scope AND roll the stock to see the reflex sight picture. I had to raise the stock slightly to get scope and reflex in a good sight picture with a good check weld.

lol. how much round in your xcr-l ? cant remenber the last time you did an update on that !

At the risk of surrendering my man card, no updates. I haven't fired the gun since January.

I wore my pal out before the barrel, been waiting a long time. Hope to update soon.

>18,000, still see lots of rifling.

Yours?

Hey there guys. Im in the market for an XCR-L in 223 and I plan on getting a 6.8spc conversion kit so I can use it for deer season this year as well. My question here for anybody who may know and is willing to share; are the 223 magazines compatible with 6.8? I've also heard someone say before that 6.8 fits in 7.62x39 magazines. Which is it? Or do they have their own mags for 6.8 all together? Any insight on this would be much appreciated I'm curious as I want to know if I have to buy a second set of magazines when I purchase the rifle, I have heard a few different things so I'm left puzzled at the moment on this subject.
Thanks!

I bought some 6.8 magazines because all the 7.62 were out of stock. They run great. However I can only fit 4 rounds of 7.62. When the 7.62 get back in stock I'll be selling 6.8s. So what I'm saying is 7.62 runs well in 6.8 not sure other compatibility.

I have both calib. and both mags. I honestly don't know if it will physically allow what you ask, but I have always used OEM mags and the OEM matching magazine for the caliber. It is generally accepted as poor practice although definitely more economical than purchasing all new for caliber magazines.

Finally decided to take out my barrel and gas tube for a good cleaning after about 300 rounds. Overall It wasn't so bad, the majority of the build up was located on my piston which came off nice with hoppes 9.

What do you guys use to get into the gas tube? Mine is not open ended. The gas setting dial is on one end and the open hole on the other is where the piston slides into. Normally I have seen guys run bore snakes through their gas tube but like I said mine isnt open ended.

Any suggestions?

you now that the gaz valve is removable ? i never had ever to remove my barrel and my rifle only mostly saw corrosive x39 , if you remove the barrel you need to re-torque it to the same spec otherwise the zero will change

Not necessary to clean the tube. Otherwise use a barrel rod to ram a wad through it. But not necessary.

ok thanks!

Also brahs, have any of you guys seen those skeleton style AR pistol grips? They would look super sleek on the keymod XCR.

Anyone here in Canada sell em?

XCR M in .308 here. I placed my scope with low rings on it so I can get a proper cheek weld to shoot. The problem I am finding is every round I fire the recoil punches me in the face, hard. The weird part is the recoil in the shoulder is not heavy at all. I'm not understanding what I am doing wrong here, or if maybe I just need higher rings so my cheek bone isnt rested on the FAST Stock. Any advice?

As others have said. This (likely) can only really be one of two things, your over gassed, your stock is too high or both. I have low ring mounts on all my xcrs. You do need to lower you're stock, and keep your fast stock cheek piece in its lowest position also. Another option may be adjusting your length of pull and scope eye relief / where you have it indexed on the rail.
