Robarms XCR FAQ post

Hello every one, I've ordered an XCR -l 223 ,1 in 8 twist, and was wondering if any body could tell me which cartridge would be more accurate , at 100 and 200 yrds? 55 g ammo or 62 g ammo? Would prefer non FMJ. Thanks.

so today, i took my baby to the range, did 80 rounds break-in (Winchester 180 grain and Federal 150 grain on gas setting 4 and 3)

before i start, i applied some oil on the bolt/carrier, some on the gas tube spring and piston.

when it works, at the first 5 shoots: so smooooooth, so much fun to shoot, controllable recoil.

but i got so many FTE after that, around 10 FTEs in 80 rounds. brass/

i found that my roboarm magazine is kinda "tight", hard to even push rounds out by hand, and the 3rd round in mag is kind loose.

when i got back home, i also found that the front gas block is loose too.

Have u gents experienced FTEs? Whats the causing of this? Should i apply some blue loctite on the gas block?

i am getting my PMAGs this Tuesday, and I will give it a try, hopefully everything works at that time :D

PS: here's my babe, enjoying her new bed :D

my gas block was loose the other day too. didnt think it was a big deal, had already put like 500 rounds through. then bang bang, clink and the whole gas block flew off and only stayed on the barrel because it hit the flash hider. I'd say tightening up the gas block is probably a good idea.

If the gas block was loose, could the alignment be out too?
If the two holes don't line up 100%, perhaps you're running out of gas, causing the fte.

I have the L, and I believe the M has a different gas block, so above is a guess.

I like the case, she be looking good.

oh wow, careful you can do serious damage.

the gas block i meant is the cap thing forward of the "gas block"

anyway, thanks gents, i will do another 100 rounds once i get my pmags

the gas valve? the thing you turn so adjust the gas settings? thought it would fly downrange if loose LOL

I'm told the 62 gr. should be best, but I never got good results. My best results come from the 55 gr.

need help gents!

i took apart the gas block last week to clean it, then i installed them back...

i took it out today and found out the piston is kinda sliding in side the gas block freely?! (every part fully installed. Whenever i pointing down the rifle to the floor, i can hear the little piston metal hitting gas block sound)

is this normal? or did i f**k up?! :(

thanks, but im pretty sure its the gas piston

i was tilting my rifle while holding the gas tube and gas block, its the piston moving inside i think

That's a little unusual.
The only time my piston touched the tube, was when the piston broke.
I can however, hear the gas tube rattle against the gas block, more on a clean rifle.

Can you verify, by removing the gas valve and move the piston/op-rod with a cleaning rod.

Wolverine has always had what I've needed.
1-firing pin spring
1-op-rod
3-recoil buffers (still using original)
1-firing pin for backup, I didn't actually buy it, but they had it.

I've had all my orders, within a week.

Ok not sure what the problem is but it isn't with my xcr l. After a few month absence from shooting it, a few hundred rounds through it. Punching some steel plates, the satisfying sound of 5.56 pinging steel.
Was thinking about selling to get a tavor. But that's not going to happen forgot how solid the gun is.
Not sure why everyone slams the rifle only one non mag related stoppage (cheap Chinese ammo).
Say what you like I like shooting the rifle.
