Robarms XCR FAQ post

Mine is getting the sides and bottom milled off all the way I run my light off the top rail anyways and don't run any vert grips or hand stops

Hi I recently purchased a xcr-l in 7.62x39 and am having trouble finding a 5/30 round mag for it if anyone could point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated thanks

Like a 5/30 Magpul? I think the back order is sitting at about 1,000,000.

Has anyone run 5.56 x45 through their XCR?

My barrel is stamped .223, but on Robinson Armaments website (and many American Dealer websites) say "5.56 NATO (.223 Rem)" I know .223 can be fired in a 5.56 chambered firearm but 5.56 should not be fired from a .223 but is this particular gun STAMPED .223 but able to chamber a 5.56? Or were the ones shipped to Canada strictly .223 chambers?

Just got an e-mail back from RA Tech in which i asked if it was a 5.56 chamber that needed to be stamped .223 for import/export. This was the response.

Jeff,

The .223 markings were required. Those barrels have a .223 Wylde chamber. Just last year, we were able to start shipping rifles marked 5.56. It was a US State Department requirement.

Yep, kind of the best of both worlds. im glad to have an answer from the manufacturer directly. Recently I bought two crates of Norinco ammo. One crate came in 20 rnd boxes marked .223 Rem, while the other came in two 800 rnd spam cans marked 5.56 x 45. I havnt opened the spam cans to check head stamps but I wanted to know for sure that if I do have 1600 rds of 5.56 that I can use em in my XCR rather than be limited to use them at the range in my Bushmaster.

makes sense... glad you heard back from them. How long did it take to get a response?

So let me get this straight, ALL of the RA barrels marked 223 have Wylde chambers? I emailed them ages ago about it, but never received a response.

@Apollyon, when I e-mailed RA I said that I had bought mine last year, and their response was "those barrels..." so I cant say for sure if older .223 stamped barrels are Wylde chambered.
