Ruger 10/22 Takedown Warranty Results

so.....after ignoring two emails from me, I had to go through Ruger USA to communicate with Snap Shots again. this was their reply....


I got this online support request from Ruger and I did not receive any e-mails from you in the last week or so just customer service e-mail from Ruger.



If you want to send the gun back, we will pay the shipping but I will need from you :



Weight of package and dimensions and I will send you the label to put on your box prepaid



Please give me back your address it will save me time.

just ####ing unbelievable.......I've been waiting two weeks for a shipping label from them now because I refuse to keep spending my money to send a defective gun back and forth

I hope none of you ever have to deal with Snap Shots in your life time

I just emailed Ruger to find out what's going on? it's the only way to communicate with Snap Shots. every single email I send them, they claim to never get it.

I insisted several times that Ruger either replace or refund the rifle because it's a lemon. they refused each time. as far as I'm concerned Snap Shots is a ####ing joke. their work is sub standard and their customer service is non existent.

I find Ruger's attitude is.....well, I got your money now. there's no way I'm giving it back

with all the negative comments about Snap Shots I've read, I cannot believe Ruger still uses them as the one and only Canadian service center. I have no respect for Ruger as a company, and I consider their products to be cheaply made garbage.

I will never buy another Ruger product again
 
October 22, 2014 update

my 10/22 is still at Snap Shots. haven't heard anything from them. they still ignore all my emails so I just contacted Ruger USA to find out the status of the gun.

Ruger still refuses to admit I got a lemon and will not refund or replace the 10/22

I waited two weeks for a shipping label from Snap Shots....nothing. so I contacted Ruger USA and the shipping label was emailed to me the very next morning. how difficult was that???

I'm hoping to get it back before Christmas. if I have to send it back a third time I think I'm gonna absolutely flip out at Ruger

Ruger products are total garbage......I let them know that every chance I get

my 10/22 is STILL at Snap Shots

got one phone call from them. I was shocked to get a call from them last week......said they test fired 150 rounds through it and didn't get any double fires

he said this is the first time he's EVER fired 150 rounds through ANY gun to test for function. NEVER.....he asked what kind of ammo I was using. I told him a variety of Federal, Winchester, and CCI

basically he said the gun is fine and nothing wrong with it and to only use CCI mini mags in it. he said the hammer and sear are fine, he will try a different barrel otherwise he's stumped.

he also asked what mags i used in it.....I told him the Ruger rotary mags, Butler Creek steel lips, and Tactical Innovations TI25 mags. he said he's never heard of TI25 mags and maybe that's the problem but I told him the gun double fires even using the Ruger rotary mags.

Ruger still won't replace the gun

I guess it only works with CCI mini mags

got my 10/22 back from Snap Shots after two months the second time around. one month the first time

the work they did on it?..........absolutely NOTHING. they had it for two months and said they can't find anything wrong with it and sent it back.

I have not tested it yet. I'm already pissed, if I still have double feeds I'm gonna be furious.

needless to say I will never buy another Ruger product. and if the 10/22 still double fires I'm Not sending it back to Snap Shots. that place is a ####ing joke as far as I'm concerned.

I have an expensive wall hanger and a hard lesson learned about Ruger customer service and Snap Shots

buyer beware!!! I highly recommend you think twice about buying anything Ruger or dealing with Snap Shots...... this is my last post about this fiasco
