Yeah, the weather looks pretty dismal. Here in Winnipeg it's been very dry and cool. I'm sure the weather will get better for the shoot. In any case, we're prarie folk so a little wet doesn't scare us. The shoot is the first leg of our camping vacation and we're going no matter what.

We'll be bringing a ton of gear - better to have and not need it than... We even bought one of those stupid solar showers, hope it gets sunny enough to try it.

Did I mention my wife was coming and the shower was her idea? lol

The solar shower is for our hair. If I bathed in the middle of a field there'd be be no more gopers left to shoot. They'd likely be dead.

Everything's pretty much ready. We're just down to planning the food. After the shoot we're moving on to Cypress hills so we'll be dragging along a couple coolers full of BBQ ready goodness.

Did I remember you saying that you have signs made up Jason?? If not I will go to the dollar store and get some bright paper for them...
 
I just spray painted 1 on some cardboard. I can make more How many turns will someone have to make from Highway 1 to the campsite? I can probably come up with two signs for the first turn off highway 1, then 1 per turn thereafter. As long as everyones eyes are open, it should be ok. If we need a chainsaw, I'll bring mine but otherwise I'll just bring my hatchet. I don't really like carrying a jerry can in the trunk with the rest of my gear/tent/sleeping bags. I can also bring an axe and sledge if we want to hit stuff. :p
 
Im gonna bring my axe and splitting maul....I think my friend Lee is going to bring his chainsaw, I will ask him :)

We are gonna need 3 signs. 1 for each direction off highway 1, and one more at his turnoff. Good thing its an easy place to find!!!

Should post up the attendance list if you have it made up yet :D
 
I have the whole day off, so am thinking to leave fairly early...then we can get setup, and do whatever needs to do...and maybe get in an afternoon of killing squeaks!!

16-20 is probably accurate...I am coming with my wife, and 2 of my buddies are maybe tagging along as well...and we still have room left for any CGN members that decide to make the trip last minute!!

Anyone wanting in last minute let us know ASAP!!!

Any particular time you want to leave? I am good to go at any time! Might even roll out late thursday, but that depends on what my work is doing...
 
The Wife and I booked off Friday as well, so we were planning on heading out Friday Morning some time. If you decide to leave Thursday let me know. I have to work, but I can drop the signs off at your place if you want to stake them in on your way in. Otherwise if you leave Friday, we can caravan out together and I'll put them in place.
 
I checked all mine...got a couple that are a bit weak, but will still last the weekend...really wish I could get my tent setup so I can make sure its still all good...wonder if there is enuf room in my house....hehehe
 
Well the timer is ticking :)

Started getting my stuff together today...need to hit walmart yet for a few more items :)

Weather forecast is showing that it should be a fairly nice weekend...tho it wont be as nice as we had all hoped...
