SAVAGE Firearms are garbage

I hate the mag release in the mk2. It seems like it was designed to be operated by your fingernail or something. The mag release on the 64 is much better and the magazines are made out of die cast aluminum. They sort of feel like an old school hot wheels car, and weigh about the same but they last forever
I had a 64, it was trash. Seriously have to remove the barrel to take out the bolt. So could do nothing but brake clean clean job. Trigger was heavy, accuracy ain't there.

Rather then making a affordable mdt stock for the more popular mk2.. They wasted money with precision 64 lol...

I have a pair of B22's, both will shoot one ragged hole at 50yds all day long with CCI standard. Also a pair of Accustock hunting rigs my wife and I hunt with, function and accuracy is outstanding.

Had a few center fire savage rifles and they were all good and had good accuracy, still got one in 22 hornet
The ba stealth 6.5 creed one that I sold shot better then the bergara I bought to replace it with.
Same goes with the one I had in 223. Got a cz to replace the savage but that damn savage shot tighter groups
Never had a rimfire model though

Bought a savage Timberline, a more expensive rifle. It wouldn't chamber a round, the chamber was off centre and the rifling came right down to the case mouth on one side. It cycled very rough, a pin in the bolt head had not been driven all the way in. Also it had no primary extraction. I sent it in for warranty, they burrowed out the chamber so it would chamber a round and sent it back to me. They had shot it at the warranty center ant it passed their test, and it shot accurately when I got it back, but I could still see that the rifling started farther up the barrel on one side than the other by an obvious amount, like about 1/3 caliber. No mention from them about the extraction. When it came back it had the old style barrel nut so I could remove it and changed the barrel. I have 3 older savage 110 rifles which are great guns I admire their cost quality balance they are well made and even the barrel interiors look way better than modern savage barrels. Why is that silly bottom release made of plastic on an expensive rifle.Today's savage is garbage

I found that to be the case with my adventure also. When I first got into guns, savage was all the rage and I picked a bunch of them up in various cals. Never had one that did not shoot well. I got more into the hobby, bought "nicer" guns with better materials, ergos, feel ect... Some shot better, most didnt. Lol

Till I got to tikka. Out class the savage in every way. Fit finish feel and accuracy.

Only savage I bought was a 110 scout in 308. Stock and sights were awesome.
It's accuracy/consistency was horrendous and every 2 to 3 shots the bolt would lock up and not let me cycle. I would have to attempt to cycled well over 20 times before it would finally release and cycle a round.
After a month of no response from Savage I sold it for about 40% of what I paid with full disclosure.
I will never buy another savage rifle.... RIFLE!

That being said I got a brand new renegauge for 60% off so figured **** it, I'll try it. It's a semi, a shotty, and its been nearly a decade so hopefully things have improved. But I expect the worst ha!
