Savage Mk II FV-SR BACK IN STOCK!

Just picked mine up from the post office and its a mark ll skinny barrel..........I guess that's what happens when you are busy and no one checks the boxes!!!

Itll be on its way back

What did it say on the box?So the guys that got the wrong rifle have to wait for the next shipment?
 
I'm guessing that they were sent a shipment of "Savage MkII FV-SR" rifles, checked a box to make sure it was there, and assumed the rest were the same.
 
Mistakes happen so I'm not going to criticize them for it, but it would be helpful if Wanstalls would comment on this so we could stop guessing as to what's happened to our orders. I assume they had both types of guns on the same pallet or something and someone thought they were all the same. They probably realised their mistake right away, knew how many units they had and would have only filled that many orders. So everyone should get the right one, it's just a matter of swapping them out. It also sounds like they sent out the corrected shipments as priority air mail/overnight, so you shouldn't have to wait long either if you do get a plain Jane. If someone on staff at Wantstalls could clarify the situation, it would be greatly appreciated!

I was the first to get mine since I live pretty close (5 hours away).
I sent them an email, and they said they will fix it right away.
As you said, mistakes happen. I'm not worried at all.
 
Just curious - clicked on the 'Click Here' link and it just brought me to the homepage. Tried searching for Savage FV and nothing came up, and only CZ's are in the bolt action rimfire category.
Are these sold out already?

Unlike other dealers, when Wanstalls sells out of an item, they completely remove it from their website. If the link takes you to the item's page, they have it. If you get the home page, they don't. No guessing. They're awesome like that.
 
Hello Everyone,

Apologies to those who received the standard MKII rifles.

In total there where 5 MKII rifles mis shipped as the MKII FV-SR. The rifles where lumped together in a shipment that was suppose to be FV-SR rifles only,the shipping department made a mistake which unfortunately does happen. To those who received the wrong rifles please contact the store directly (not via PM) and a pre paid return label will be sent at no charge and the correct rifle will be shipped. All the individuals who have contacted us so far have their correct rifles accounted for and we are simply waiting for the first rifle to return before shipping the correct one. In the off chance these rifles where over sold we have a second shipment in que with the distributor and should arrive shortly.

Again we do apologize for the mistake, we have spoken to our shippers and reminded them the importance fast, efficient and diligent shipping.

We thank CGN and its members for the continued support and hope we can remedy this situation for those affected as fast and smoothly as possible.
