Savage Mk II FV-SR BACK IN STOCK!

Just received mine in the mail today, and it is the right one, and it is an excellent product as far as features and finish. Like someone else mentioned, Canadian made too!

Received a rifle in the mail today... :bangHead:
Unfortunately, it wasn't the good model, just a plain jane MKII with skinny barrel... :(
Their shipping dept' should give an extra care about what's inside the box, when shipping a firearm. It's not like shipping a pair of gloves...

I've Called Gary at Wanstalls and he explained me what was the situation and how he apologized for the shipping imbroglio.

As always, I had an awesome customer service from Wanstalls and I will buy from them again.

I'm just a little jealous about the lucky ones who had their FV-SR in this thread... :p

Wanstalls shipped me a different guns then what I had ordered a few years ago. Dont worry they'll take care of you...

One Savage Mark II FV-SR has arrived as ordered. Thank you very much Wanstalls! After wiping off most of the oil Savage Arms bathed it in, I inspected every nook and cranny. It appears to be flawless, it's beautiful.

Here is a photo of mine from the weekend. :) Tri-Rail from a TRR, and a Vortex SPARC...my daughter posing with the rifle for this photo. Successful day clearing some pigeons from a friend's barn~me on the FV-SR, my apprentice on her Savage Rascal. Great way to spend a morning!

Mine was correct as well. Safety is very stiff on mine though. Also, the safety spring appears to be oddly bent - I can see part of it sticking up through the depression in the stock where the bolt handle lies when closed. Is this normal? My older mark 2 has a very smooth safety and the safety spring is tucked out of sight further down in the bolt handle recess. Interested to know how the safety is on others.

Mine is the same.

Got mine, seems great. Bolt is a tad stiff, but I haven't lubed it up yet so I'm not surprised.
Otherwise very pleased, thanks a lot for making things great Wanstalls!
