Nice looking rifle....good deal too...other Savage Model10 variants go for $850 and up...Dont know if this model would cost more at regular retail??? Any thoughts? I do like the threaded barrel with option to add a muzzle brake.

From what I have seen it's the same as the Mod 10 FCP-K but with a rail and without the break. If it wasn't a promo gun I'd bet it would be offered at $899-$950 retail.

This is a Military and Law Enforcement promotion being run by Savage. It is open to current members of the military and law enforcement officers. You will be required to provide identifications and or a badge number to purchase this firearm. Cost is $599.00 plus shipping.

These rifles will begin to ship early January and you won't be billed until they are ready to ship.

Once your order is placed we will email you the form to fill and the fax number/email address to send it to.

will you be sending the form or is there some place that i havent look...
order is passed, but no return on that form to fill out.
thanks

Hey Ryan !
Who exactly collect theses private informations such as police badge numbers and Military id ? Savage ?
Are they going to call all buyer's employers to make sure they're really a LE/military ? :p

That's true I suggest we be all required to send in a scan of our ID to ensure we're all legit:)

ID is required so far as I know.

Impersonating a Police Officer to save $300.00.... as Mr. T put it "I pitty the fool!"

Personating Peace Officer

130. Punishment

(2) Everyone who commits an offence under subsection (1)

(a) is guilty of an indictable offence and liable to imprisonment for a term of not more than five years; or (b) is guilty of an offence punishable on summary conviction.

R.S., 1985, c. C-46, s. 130; 2009, c. 28, s. 2.

Sounds like a new kind of registry to me. It is a nice gesture but I am not sending a copy of my ID to anyone and I don't like the idea of my address and that ID being together anywhere but GHQ. For those reasons alone I will pass.

The idea of giving discounts and freebees to the police comes from many years ago when the pay was terrible and the efforts of the police were appreciated. I feel that I am and have been well paid and I don't expect any discounts no matter how well intentioned.

to late for that friction you speak of. I mean thanks for thinking of us and it is a wicked deal really, but friction is what is happening. I am surprised it is directed at the military and the police and to that extent the corrections people as well. A blank cheque is written by us for you the civilian so heres the deal sign up for the military spend a few years away from home go on tour see your friends die then come home go back to the field then watch your buddies kill themselves as the government turns their backs on them one by one. Then after all that then you can get the deal on this rifle.
So just do it. not really worth it to me but ##### and grip about it all you want. But sleep well in your beds at as well I am going to the field so enjoy things.

So long as there is cops there will be CGNers that have friction with them. It's not new, or news that some gun owners are police haters - more so than other groups sometimes

My rifle will be sent to my office, same place my vehicle registration is sent to. My ID doesn't have my home address on it and is within the public domain anyways.

GLOCK also gives us deals along with Chrysler's first responders program. Savage is a large corporation not some nefarious used car salesman

Also SFRC is a reputable business that I've dealt with many times.

Pete don't let them get to you, it is only a small handful of AHO!Es that have big mouths, crying about $200. I think I speak for a vast majority of CGNer's and the general public who appreciate what all the LEO/Military groups do for us. Cheers Bob

The vast majority of folks around here LOVE our police force. We've got to have one of the highest approval ratings in the nation. They also love the military too.

So for me this Police hating is more of a CBC news and CGN thing.
