The screws came with the base I Burris base I bought off Mystic-hope to do my sighting in today!!::

You'll probably find that the combination of the pic rail and a QR mount like an ADM or Larue will put the scope really high up and make it difficult to get any kind of cheek weld. If you want to swap scopes, you may want to look at getting Warne bases and QR rings, or Talley QR rings. I have a 10PC and use the Warne bases with Burris Signature rings. The inserts in the rings let me get a 20MOA adjustment, and I found this setup keeps the scope significantly lower than using a one-piece pic rail. Here's a pic of my rig, which has the same scope you're using, just not the Tactical version.
Thanks for the info RHS!
Thanks for adding the pic also!
That’s exactly how I plan on having mine set up.
I think my rifle is in at the post office but I won't be able to open it until I figure out how to sneak it past the Boss (wife).
I bought way to many guns and accessories lately!
I see that Warne rings are available at Grouse River - http://www.grouseriver.com/Warne_Maxima_BRNO_CZ_550_Quick_Detach_p/opt-000222.htm
Which leads to two more questions;
1- I already have the Millett Picatinny short action rail (not sure what MOA) – Will the Warne rings will work on this bases?
2- What height Warne rings would work best for 100 to 500 meters (med? high?)
Thanks again,
DT

Weaver base rings have kind of a sloppy fit on the pic rail slots, so you just have to make sure you index them the same way every time you mount/remove the scope. I'm using Warne QD rings on an Ultimak pic rail on my M14S and they work just fine.
The ring height doesn't really affect how far you can shoot, but how high the scope sits above the barrel. The Burris Signature rings I'm using have inserts that let you adjust the scope so you don't have to use the internal travel of the scope to zero quite so much. This way I can have the scope elevaton turret set quite low in its adjustment range and have maximum adjustment available to dial in elevation for distance. With the Warne QD rings you don't have this option, so any adjustment will come from the scope turrets. I typically buy the lowest rings I can get that allow the objective of the scope to clear the barrel. Gives me a better cheek weld.

I just got quoted $60 + tax for a spare Savage 4 rnd mag. Is that what they're worth???? (SSS isn't making high caps for 223 yet.)
