Shooting ducks on the water? :)

if you are thinking about me i never said it was in North America ... im not a troll but you lost me after your reference to christians killed and ducks in the same sentence ...

that way of traditionnal hunt happened in France look for youtube and chasse au gabion ... there is not one way to hunt and your way is not the only way. thinking like that is putting you above the others like an elite.never did that way in Canada as i know this is not legal.

hunting at night doesnt mean either ducks are sleeping ...

btw if you are using a call there is lot of juridictions around the world that didnt approve calling ducks and geese and call that poaching .....

There are clearly people on this thread that feel its ok in Canada. What are your thoughts on that?

And what if its illegal? Is it still no one elses business?

And no, you werent the one who I called the troll lol

Subjects like this are really sad. People start subjects like this, scouting with drones and and an assortment of other nonsense spells one thing to me LAZY HUNTERS! Shooting birds on the ground, water screams I haven't put in the time to learn how to take them on the wing. SAD!SAD!SAD!

Nobody on this thread has indicated that they are fine with breaking laws. Although there has been plenty of judgement :)

It's the judgment of each other that divides this group of people that should be backing each other up in this day and age. Keep judging others and being vocal about it is how stupid firearm and hunting laws get passed. It's too bad everyone couldn't be more exposed to the world and different ways of doing things, and see other points of view.

Here we are plucking ducks, with the little WInchester 22 pump action on the right side of the table.

Frying up some duck hearts for a snack!

some oinons, schallots, cream and brandy are missing for sure ....

Well, in the actual spirit of the thread, the term "sporting" is very subjective.....

If what you are doing is legal and you don't feel bad about your actions then fill your boots....

For example, as a young Hunter I would blast every duck I saw on the water as I was a jump shooter and not a vey good one..... If I had a chance at an "easy" shot I would take it, and I felt good about it.... I was out getting fresh air and exercise and putting many miles on my boots to get that chance..... I once accidentally harvested a harlequin back then that was in a small pond.... (Very odd for a harlequin).... I felt bad, it was accidental but illegal..... I tried to justify it to myself, it had flushed with many others against a setting sun and I shot a silhouette.... But I still buggered up.... So I reported myself... The MNR was awesome about it, and I actually got to keep the duck, which was subsequently mounted as a reminder and a beautiful mount to boot...

I love upland hunting.... But I have no upland dog, and on the 400 acres I hunt, I am lucky to get 4 flushes in a 6 hour walk.... So if I see a grouse on the ground I take it.... Am I less sporting than the guy with a well trained dog that would likely get twice as many in the same area?..... Do I feel the need to justify shooting a ground bird?.... Not at all.....

It's bull#### discussion like this that divides us and creates a weak community... If you choose to challenge yourself and only make the most difficult harvests under the most difficult of conditions then that is your choice, but I can guarantee you that, no matter how hardcore or awesome you think you are, there is someone more "awesome" than you that thinks you are not as "sporting" as thy are....

As for the drone BS.... It's the new millenial attitude.... Have to find an easier and more technologically advanced way to do everything..... Let's not paint them all with the same brush.... I certainly am trying not to raise my boys that way.... It's hard to teach so one that something has more value if there is had work out into it.....

And what if its illegal? Is it still no one elses business?

And no, you werent the one who I called the troll lol

in that case it will be different but that was not were the discussion started .... from shooting duck in the water to killing christians you have done yourself a good strecht, no one will not condemn illegall activities but again none tried harder than you to push the boundary .... if you want the last word like at school just let us know ....

Some people judge and cry foul because it's not "their" way of doing things. Despite it being legal and traditional. That's the point.

Is it legal to shoot ducks in BC with a 22 as you have admitted to and shown. NOT
Love to see those regs you follow to prove me wrong .That is my point
No that is not my way of doing things for sure so I judge on what has been presented which is all I can do
Cheers

He's fully aware and has known all along what the point is. But instead of addressing the point, he instead adds more fuel to the fire with more posts of pictures and commentary about using a .22 to shoot ducks. This fully knowing that it is illegal for an overwhelming majority of the readers of this thread. Thus, doing nothing but furthering the arguments on whats legal and what isnt. Not saying it legal or not for him because no one knows...but once again, he isnt addressing this for a reason. Smells like a troll to me.

I broke no laws. Nothing I did was illegal.
