Shorten PAL Approval Times

Mine was recieved at the CFC yesterday. Somehow I doubt I'll get the card in time for the Prince George gun show though... Oh well, I guess I can still go and drool on the displays! Or maybe my buddy can buy something for me and hold onto it until I can legally take them lol.
You can also start buying scopes and other non-pal requiring accessories.
Just got confirmation that my application has now moved onto the provincial CFO for background checks. Guess I've done all I can at this point. I don't see a problem at this point. I look forward to the status updates showing an issued license... 
Feb 20th received by the RCMP with all the documents.
I have had my interview done alhough they say they cannot interview my references yet because my application has not been 'scanned' (WTF!!!)
They have to scan a piece of paper and put it in my file! it might take 2 minutes if you are not mentally challenged. It is frustrating dealing with these people.

Not in BC. My interviews were finished February 12th. Still in progress. So frustrating.
Did you send your CFSC and CRFSC results along with the application or faxed it in later?
After much waiting, missed information & back and forth with the CFC, I am ecstatic to announce my card has finally been issued!
Here ins my timeline:
R/PAL Course completed: Jan 27
Application Sent Registered Mail: Feb 3
Received: Feb 7
Online: Mar 1. Called same day, informed missing reference signature.
Received letter with paper work that needed to be filled and emailed back: Mar 8.
Got missing information, returned registered mail: Mar 12.
Received: Mar 15.
Waited another 3.5 weeks until April 10, status finally changes online. Called immediately, did my interview. Had references call same day and do their interviews, and now "You card has been issued!"
Now, which one of those rifles did I say I wanted first?

I wish I had found this thread a few months ago. I waited to get my CFSC certificate before I sent in my PAL application, which has now added 5 weeks to my wait time. I just mailed my paperwork last Thursday (April 4th) so we'll see how long I have to add onto that.

I completed the course on March 3rd; got my certificate April 4th.

Yep, there definitely is. Call 1-800-731-4000 ext 7514...leave a message on the woman's voicemail and she should get back to you with the status of your certificate. Just to be clear, this is for your proof of completion of the course, not for the PAL itself.

ive called many of time to and have asked if there were any deficiencies or missing information..cfc said no that it was in the cfo of b.c now waiting for aproval...Ive been waiting since feb 28th she said probably looking at the end of may.... B.C cfo is in backlog this yr....... Is this normal Time for a renewal PAL?
