Shorten PAL Approval Times

My girlfriend and I wrote ours in February and still nothing... We tried to call the number to find out but the response was "we are so overwhelmed we cannot even put you on a list to attempt to locate your paperwork. wait a few more weeks"

8 weeks+ and counting...

i didn't have to send in ####, just sent my results with my application.

our CFO doesn't require the results to be stamped by them, the instructor is more than enough.

I think most people on here who are venting about PAL processing times are from Ontario. Someone here from Mississauga told me it took his RPAL a total processing time of 6 months inc. test waiting. I couldn't believe it when I heard him, but now its starting to look more realistic.

My sister (2nd reference) missed her call from the RCMP last week. She called in today and gave her interview. I called afterwords and verified with them that everything was in order (there had been some confusion about a call to my wife from them, long story) and was told it is A-OK.

Waiting period is up in a couple days. I already have a couple rifles lined up, starting to get antsy!

My PAL is in my hand sent it on the 15th of March they received it the 18th, and it was approved the 15th of April (day 28 of the waiting period), Received it in hand April 27th! I followed all the directions listed in the OP and was successful! THE SYSTEM WORKED!!!

In the same boat as rtangri. Challenged and passed my both tests on March 19th. The instructor told me 4 weeks. In the beginning of April, I spoke to the Firearms Centre as I have a POL and wanted to know if I should wait for my stamped results to mail together with my application. She said that she tells anyone from Ontario not to wait, to mail in my application with a note that results will follow.

Glad I did. Sent in my application on April 6. Was received on April 11th but did not show up on the system until today. Now will let that work while I wait for Ontario!!

Race you rtangri!

both my reference rpal interviews were completed today and i was told they went very well. what is my wait time until i have an rpal in my hands. is the interview the final step?
