Shorten PAL Approval Times

Hi there, everything was going great but now I'm concerned, everybody else says their online status was approved and issued the day of their interviews and reference interviews but for me its been 2 days since the interviews and its still saying in process...

what does this mean? Thanks alot!

My interviews were completed February 12 and still no change. I was told by the CFC to expect at least 4 - 6 weeks for the BC CFO's rubber stamp to hit my application.

Got my test results in the mail Wed. Faxed them in yesterday. Today my staus is changed to this.

"Your application has completed initial processing. It is now in progress. Please check the status again at a later date."

How long should I wait to call in to see if they can do my interviews?

You can prb call wednesday or thursday next week.

Glad to hear that it is normal for it to take a while, I just cant wait to have my RPAL in my hands, it will be such an accomplishment after waiting so long for this whole process...lol

I have been following this thread and talking in person with many people about PAL wait times and let me tell you it is truly all over the place. I have spoken with a few guys who waited 7-8 months for no reason at all. I think it definitely pays to stay on top of things with polite phone calls every cpl of weeks just so your app doesn't fall between the cracks.

Were both of your references got the interview call?? My status online change to approved only one day after my 2nd reference called in for interview. I got my PAL/RPAL in the mail just a week after the online status showed approved. Total time from the date they received my application to the day I received my PAL/RPAL is about 52 days. By the way, my 2nd reference was away for two weeks otherwise I think the total time will be shorter.

If both of your references did the interview, I would call the BC CFO directly and follow up on the application.

in BC

Application was received march 1st (registered)
Today status changed to
"Current Status: Your application has completed initial processing. It is now in progress. Please check the status again at a later date."

3 weeks to the day. I'll make some phonecalls next week.

In Alberta, my renewal has been almost 6 weeks so I called this week, they said that it was at the CFO and they are busy so it could be a few more weeks, I am not a happy camper.

I'm Currently receiving this message,

" Your application has been received. It is currently being processed. You have been, or will be contacted either by phone or by mail for additional information. Please check the status again at a later date."

Does this mean I should call in because some of my application was filled out wrong?

for the PAL application. Can your references sign and scan the form after? or does every signature have to be inked in?..

It has to be original as far as i know, worst case call them to find out

Something is missing on the form, it normally takes 10 plus days to find out what it is, call monday and they will tell you exactly why the message.

HAH! ten days? More like 17 so far. And yet to hear anything in the mail.

Stupid me assumed it was a generic message that covered all their bases. What baffles me is that I recall entering every piece of information precisely and thoroughly to avoid this situation. I'd be willing to bet my car that this is a government mistake.

Hey guys,

I'm a newbie here and had a few questions. I completed the CFSC and CRFSC just this past weekend and what I would like to know is if I could mail in my RPAL application to get the process started and then mail in my CFSC/CRFSC results later when I get them. I've read that this process works but I'm not sure... Does it really work? Has anyone tried this process and have any luck? Please let me know.

Thanks.

The stamped results will take approx 4 to 5 weeks.
Send it in without the results then fax them when available. This is acceptble to the RCMP.
Otherwise you are allowing Wyatt to impose a SECOND28 day wait period that does not exist inthe ACT.

Hey, Do you know what kind of questions they ask or your references?

I sent mine by registered mail and it was exactly 30 days from the time they received it to saying license issued online about thirty minutes after my last reference phoned in. I can't say anything bad about how I was treated by anyone that I talked to at CFC. Hoping it will get here before Friday.
