On second thought, don't bother. It "just" won't click into place.

Those magazine rivets look a bit out of place. The 3 other mags I have don't even show a dimple.

I'm taking my time with cleaning it up, reviewing the trigger disassembly/assembly video and awaiting a pair of castle nut pliers from Hungry.

Gonna enjoy this puppy!

BTW, Barney has a web site...www.m14hungry.com, but when I click on it, I just get a black screen. Anyway, on that site are supposed to be all the forthcoming clinic information.

I just got the email too , my ammo is coming :)

Rule 303 I checked out Hungrys new site last night and just now and it loads fine for me.
You can access it by clicking on his name in one of his posts as well , I am sure that his site will grow into a great website.
I put a set of Garand rear sights and a USGI stock on my shorty today as well as an oprod spring guide that I bought from NEA. , I still have to fit the stock as it is failing the trigger test . My polytech worked fine in this stock but the shorty is alot tighter of a fit for some reason.
Overall I am very pleased with my new rifle .
 
I picked up an Arms 18 mount for my other rifle, they are pretty much the benchmark of mounts for this rifle. Not cheap though ..dont cheap out on the mount or scope or you may regret it.

CanadaAmmo will sell you this but I believe they're currently out of stock. Marstar probably has something similar.

Hmmm...Marstar has this but it doesn't appear to be exactly the same. Anybody know what the difference is?

I'm buying a UTG Tri-rail off EE to see how I like it. Can't seem to find a Canadian distributor for them. CanAm, maybe you could look in to getting some? It would be nice if you stocked all sorts of M14 goodies to go with your rifles. There doesn't seem to be one retailer who has "everything" and I find it's a bit frustrating
