Anyone get their hands on last years K1RSI in .308WIN? Love to see some pictures of one other than website product pics. In July, I'll have been waiting for a year for delivery on one.....wondering if it will ever come......

2 year wait over:

Oh, how I hate this thread...:)

While trimming down my gun numbers, I decided that I only "needed" one single solitary #1. I slowly got to the point where I had That One...a 26-inch barreled .300H&H, the Ultimate #1. That was it...I was happy...the world was in balance...

That H&H is gone now, but I just checked through the safes and there seems to be three #1's in there! How does that happen??? :dancingbanana: :runaway:

If I post pics...will someone please shame me into not buying more guns? :)

Here’s my small collection, three of them picked up this year. Top to bottom: .204 Ruger in stainless, .270 1B from 1976, .243 1B from 1978 and my custom .358 Win from 1978. The .358 is the one I’ve owned the longest (20 years) and kept the fire alive to replace some I sold in the past.

Congrats. i have the other 204 SSV Ruger No.1. Beauty rifle. And another one in .204 Blued/walnut med contour

My safe was empty of #1's for a few months. But, I had intentions of acquiring another, picked up one in 7-08 last month. Was going to put on an old scope, decided on a new one instead. It's nothing special to look at, but, reasonable wood on it, it is in a cartridge I already have, and it will have to compete with a 700 I have had for over 30 yrs, to be a keeper. First test comes tomorrow to see if it will attain the velocities the other one does. Fired cases are a hair shorter than the ones out of the 700, so, throat is a bit longer though, maybe that will make up for it.

Why would you care if it attains the same or better velocity? Accuracy is where it is at... for all intents and purposes, a couple hundred fps won't make any difference on target or game.
