Sig522

If this thing gets in as non restricted it will be the ultimate partridge destroyer, even if it does come in as restricted it would be an awesome range gun. Im definitely getting one.

Specs and some pictures now on the Sig Sauer website.

The discrepancies in the listed information on OAL and length with folded make me wonder, but as long as it's over 26" when folded we're good to go for non-restricted!

I don't know guys.
If it's restricted, you're better off with the Tactical solutions upper for an AR.

I'm a fan of Sig , Swiss Arms etc. I do own a PE-90. That being said the ergonomics of the AR platform are better. Also you can use all of the aftermarket parts, such as stocks, triggers etc with the .22 upper. The barrel is free floated and target grade.

Not trying to be a kill joy. I just get the feeling that this is the .22 carbine/rifle equivalent of the mosquito, which isn't a firearm I would ever buy.

It's neat, but I think I'd want to know a lot more before buying one.

Caveat emptor comes to mind. Hopefully I'm wrong.

The RCMP are in a bit of a quandary right now aren't they. If they make the 522 non-res then they have to answer for the GSG. Maybe we'll get the 522 classed non-res and then maybe the GSG will get reclassified. Interesting times for sure.

Looks Nice to bad it is a prohibited rifle by designation under current firearms regulations.

Nope, it's a 522 NOT a 552. There is nothing on the books regarding this rifle, the only way it would be prohib is if it is declared a variant of the 55x series.

If TSE is bringing them it, at least it will get classified properly. If it's some other asshat organisation, who knows....like prohib with the MP5 .22lr.
If the OAL is 30", then we are ####ed, cause there is no way the folding stock only takes off 4".
