Unless it meets the definition of restricted, it cannot be restricted. It will either be non-restricted or prohib as a 550 variant.

Overall length is all that applies to rimfires unless restricted or prohib by variant or name.

If the 522 folded is over 26.5" overall length (barrel length does not apply to rimfires) then non-restricted but rumours I see in this thread is that they are classed as restricted due to being a variant of the AR.
