So, in the end, how did Covid 19 affect your hunt?

there were a billion people hunting my area that normally travel to the interior. So Covid basically made things really crowded resulting in more spooked deer.

skipped deer, (too many guys that i just don't trust. they don't wash their hands leaving the John let alone after pumping gas and entering their pin)

did partridge with my son (same household)
ill do turkey with him in the spring

will see about next years deer?

There were travel restrictions so I never went on my annual mule deer hunt. Stayed on the island and hunted elk and got out hunting blacktails a few times. My hunting partner got an elk so I have meat in the freezer. It's all good :)

Got to hunt Stones sheep with absolutely no interference from the guide outfitter based in that area. He's American and all of his clientele are also, so the camp was closed and we had that whole set of mountains to ourselves.

No effect on my deer hunting, at all , on out moose hunting trip , 5 guys in tent as usually no different everybody did as normal, no body died from Covid , but two moose didn’t make so good

Didn't affect it at all, stayed home and hunted the creekline with my son like most years. Lost my phone, got the Fargo stuck & blew the front driveshaft off...1000 $ worth of 'Ooops' there.
Didn't get anything, but turned down a few shots. Which is fine...if they were good, realistic shots I'd have taken them...know your limitations.
Was actually a busy fall all considered.

Didn't affect my hunt at all. As always, work seems to be the biggest influencer on my hunting. I hunt with my wife and father and did exactly that this year. Got out for geese, whitetail and grouse and was fairly successful on all.

Did not affect our hunt one little bit. I do not hunt with people that are easily mislead by the mainstram media. We did our own research and determined it was life as usual with some darconian measures thrown in by the government.

Myself and a friend had to cancel our December cow elk hunt near Little Smokey, Alberta. Neither of us has a winter rated trailer, he has health issues and because of COVID he was reluctant to stay in a motel in the area because of their unknown cleaning practices. He had me coming along to help in the event he filled his tag. He burned his tag. On another note my son filled a bull moose tag, both his buck and doe mule deer draw tags. We both got decent whitetail bucks plus a doe each, his wife took a great whitetail buck, close to 23” inside spread 4x5, short tines though. When we cut up her buck we got close to 95 pounds of clean, boned out meat. It was a fun season, all five whitetail deer were on a quarter section of land I own near Smoky Lake, Alberta. 160 acres of bush surrounded on all sides by crop and alfalfa, basically the bedding quarter.

Didn't affect us at all. Our little group spent lots of time afield and took a pile of game including elk, deer, bears, and sheep. Freezers are plugged.

Moose camp is four guys, it was business as usual, deer camp is me and my son and it was the same. The biggest problem was work as usual, my son only got the weekend off again.

This year the 8 friends from the US could not get here. :(. Some have been hunting with me for 20+ years. Miss them and the fellowship! I had some great hunts this year but sure miss the breakfast at Smittys and the joking it included.
