So what have you modded on your SKS?

Bought a used Williams type of sight off the EE for 19.00. If it works better I might upgrade to a more robust peep sight just do not know how the peep will work that far forward, used to the distance of AR peeps.

The raven eye is actually surprisingly nice. I installed one on one of my sks after the tech sight fell apart. I prefer it to the tech sight now. Plus if you ever want to return it to original it takes 30 seconds. I'd recommend it if you're thinking about it.

Do you find you can get better accuracy with it's sight picture? For me I can't focus on the original sights too long my eyes aren't the greatest I guess.

I sure do. I find the sight picture is significantly better and it allows me to focus on it much more easily, especially with a dot of white paint on the front sight post.

Yes I find it easier with peep sights too, I guess I have to bite the bullet and order a raven eye!
 
Hi

Love the SKS platform, but found at 6'2" the stock is way to short and my older eye's have trouble with the rear sight. Adding a new stock and peep sight (hical one) has made a world of difference, also easy to return to original configuration.

Installed a 19.00 used Williams peep sight.

Really like the peep over a ramp sight, just waiting on my mico red dot sight.

Will try out both at the range when I get it.

 
Got four, left 2 as is they are collectors, to me. The other two were bedded with shims and trigger jobs, big difference in groupings. Of the 2 modded one I mounted a PU scope.
Sks is a cheap semi that lots can be done too. I like them plain Jane.
