Spectre LTD. Spec 180 Lower Info and Ongoing Feedback for WK, MCR, AR180

Make a gun that looks like a 2.5k gun, with 2.5k gun reliability and Canadians will pay 3.5k for it new…5.5k on the EE.

But seriously…I understand that the political climate has made investing in R&D very unattractive to many firms, however I really hope that the platform gets pushed into the kinda territory where we have different tiers of the same platform. I never bought a bottom of the barrel firearm before the OIC and I have only increased my investment since 05.01.2020, purchasing more expensive firearms to replace my now prohib rifles. I’d really like to see somebody make some alternate 180’s that fill the hole in the market left by all XCR’s, MCX’a, Swiss Arms & Gucci AR’s that are chill’n in legal purgatory.

Market wise, theyll sell a heck of a lot more 1.5k guns then they will 3.5k. Plus @ 3.5k now ur competition is substantially larger.

I have ordered through Wolverine Supplies. Now, could we please have production pieces WITHOUT LOGOs?!? FWIW, those really detract from the appearance. Put the Spectre Logo in black if you must, but get rid of the Right Side writing as a minimum. PLEASE - I'd rather my firearm not resemble a billboard!!

lower doesnt look too bad. things they need to change to make this really appealing to me:

-change the magwell so its not the terrible half length angled design
-narrow the receiver at the trigger pins so regular AR trigger pins can be used.
-dont have that ugly "spec 180" on the right hand side

On Facebook Spectre said they weren't going to change the magwell design to make sure it remains an AR-180 lower receiver and not be reclassified as an AR.

That’s where you’re wrong kiddo, I just bought one solely to use my favourite grip the K2+. A bonus would be if I can use a typical safety selector, which it looks like it does. At ~$300 shipped, this is priced well.

Congrats you just paid 300+ tax to put on a $25 part part lol. It's your money though so do you kiddo.

Yeah, so what? $300 is well worth it for a lower, considering a stripped WK lower is $450. I’m also going to spend $300 on the new SBI lower. If someone makes one that fits a standard size AR safety, I’ll buy that too. More guns for me. Besides, I really like collecting firearms, not really looking for a unicorn or a specific magwell angle to honest.

why? what difference does the magwell angle make? if you hate it so much you can always mill it at home.

Don't know if this is also HvacFridge Apprentice on Redddit r/CanadaGuns, or coincidentally another fellow, but Reddit user nebbie89 posted the following thread titled "New Spec180 Lower with WSMCR Upper" -> https://www.reddit.com/r/canadaguns/comments/pg0dt0/new_spec180_lower_with_wsmcr_upper/

Wolverine needs to make this the default lower on the MCR going forward

Smooth ... gives my trigger hand more room to rest. definitely worth the $300
