Stag 10 build and range review

This thread is getting extensive!
Did anyone here build one with some A2 features?
I am wondering how one would look with A2 stock, and with triangular front sight/gas block

Edit : looks good thats what i want, except with an A2 stock!

I bought the upper prebuilt off the EE, rest was me. The carry handle is AR15, a little short for the receiver. I still need a trigger guard.

Well I guess I can add to this thread. Here's my latest coyote rifle. It features a 19" .243 Winchester 1in10 twist barrel made by IBI. If all goes as planned I'll be trying it out and sighting it in on Sunday.

I was really tempted to build this one in 22-250 but there are a few quirks to overcome so I decided on a slower twist 243 for lighter bullet weights instead. Right now I have some 58gr v-max and some 70gr NBT ready to go.

Nice, I think you might have feeding problems if you had a 22-250.

If I went that route I was going to get a couple of the Alex Pro Firearms 22-250 mags to help minimize feeding problems. They are supposed to work awesome. But at about $175 USD each plus importing it would cost me quite a bit more for two mags than what I paid for my barrel. That was the biggest deciding factor for me.

Nice build.
Even on a varminter you kept the weight down with a medium barrel, light scope+rings and CTR stock.
Is it a VX5HD 3-15×56? How do you like it?

Thanks man.

It's a VX-5HD 3-15x44 in MDT Premier Xtra High rings. I think it's a great scope/ring combination. The MDT rings are a much better product than you would expect for $99. I have the same scope on another rifle and it's proven it's worth to me so I knew I wanted to put one on my Stag.

The glass is great, the weight considering the size of the optic is really good at 19.6oz, the elevation turret tracks reliably and I love the locking feature.

The VX-5HD is a high quality to cost ratio and is worth every penny BUT once you step up to the VX-6HD the price goes up significantly just to gain an extra 3x of magnification. You are then into the price range of so many other higher end optics.
