SVT-40 sniper list

Hello all. Lever Arms in Vancouver is selling a sniper SVT. Is it original or a made up piece? Here is the link to the page:
http://www.leverarms.com/russian-svt-40-with-scope-mount-notch-stock-no-15675.html

Photos are very small. But I think that this is original sniper rifle - number is less than 2000, prefix can be НБ, ПБ, CБ all of them are correct sniper prefixes.
Maybe somebody can call them and ask? :)
Recently they have another sniper, original, НЖ140, I add it to the list

Was the reason for plum bolt, to reduce or remove possible reflection on the rifle? Or was it something else?

I don't think that this was the reason. This was done also with regular rifles

Marstar is also selling several sniper rifles from Tula and Ishevsk for half the price.

It looks that those rifles are not sniper, just have rails

Hey Ratnik do you have any extra info on the AVT? I have a trigger group with an 'A' stamped on the hammer. Do you have any idea how the auto sear was configured? Also were any other parts made specifically for the AVT?

Actually this is a thread related to sniper rifles, here is a great thread for such questions

Many parts at SVT's and AVT's were additionaly marked with some letters, those are acceptance stamps. "A" letter did not mean that it belongs to AVT.

Here's a few pics of my sniper, it's nice to know it's genuine, well the receiver is anyway. I have a reproduction mount and scope coming for it. :)

BTW Ratnik you are living in the wrong country. Come to Canada, there are lots of Ukrainians here.

Original mounts are almost impossible to find. But original SVT scopes are more common - I even know source of them in Canada

I will be happy with a reproduction scope on my reproduction mount.

Maybe it's wrong, but it is my country

It's not wrong but it is your choice. My brother has lived in the same village all his life, it's his village. I have lived in several countries, eventually I found a good one. It's my world.

Beauty.
I am going to buy a sniper for myself and build a reproduction. Can I mount a scope if I can't find one with the notch?

I don't think stock is the original one. It has an 8 vent handguard with 7 holes on each side of the metal piston shroud but the number on the buttstock (looks like YH 1063) doesn't match the one on the receiver.

There are four nail holes looking like there was some kind of I.D. tag on the stock but it is missing. Finns used to remove I.D. tags on the stocks when going to battle. Perhaps this is why.
Knowing the Finns, they probably recovered the damaged rifle on the battlefield, grafted on the nearest good condition stock available, SA punched the receiver, tested the rifle and sent it to the troops.
I'm even pretty sure they ditched the scope and scope mount.

YOU CANT OWN A BAYONET IN THE UKRAINE!

And what is with your rifles having to be deactivated?????

And I thought our country had ####ing dumb gun laws

He seems to like living in the Ukraine, so it can't all be bad.

Stock is from 1940 Tula, top barrel band is from later rifle
