Looks like average thread lengths will be reduced by about 10,000 characters without Harbl around anymore. I agree with what was said earlier, anyone who is #####ing about time frame needs to shake their head, CanAm has addressed it all too thoroughly already, see this post and STFU: http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/foru...97NRR-Rifle??p=9127046&viewfull=1#post9127046
Notably: "If you are the type of person that needs the gun now, I suggest buying it from a dealer that has it in stock" And to that I'll add Pay more, and expect some defects in function or aesthetics as a strong possibility.
Remember what the E from ETA stands for people...
Just in case there's any confusion, YES this post is directed at you Kewl and cowcity.
You keep holding your breath... It's going to be awhile and guess what? The defects will still be there if Canada ammo gets their imaginary guns.

What defect ?
N/S posted that the drill gouge in some of the barrels is not a defect ,
It was just a drill press operator going to far and the factory told N/S it is not a problem.
NO Warranty returns for gouge in rifling ! lol

[...] An $850 rifle should be in immaculate condition out of the box, doesnt matter if it was made in china or Timbuktu.

If it is not too late I’d like go back to the wish-list.
(I took a liberty to summaries some wishes, please correct me should I forgot something)
• AR style ambi magazine release.
• Threaded barrel with standard AR15 thread.
• Hard anodized metal treatment.
• A bayonet lug and original M95 PLA bayonet option.
• Fire mode selector in reach of dominant hand with additional burst position.
• Improved feed ramp
• Flat-top design (m14.ca style or similar)
• Adjustable cheek rest
I think this option was tried on the first batch of type 97's and didn't go over well.• Fire mode selector in reach of dominant hand with additional burst position.
If the rifles have to be checked out and possibly repaired, one might as well provide a few recommendations to go along with it.
I am happy with a wishlist, we will make the changes towards a better gun.
x2-- Lets get them right before they sold!!If the rifles have to be checked out and possibly repaired, one might as well provide a few recommendations to go along with it.
