I am just worried about CanAm. Who is going to continue to bring us cool guns like the T97 and bambikiller if he goes out of business? :(

Give CanAm some credit. He 's selling a lot of other firearms too. All his apples aren't in the T97 basket.

If you are worried about him buy one of the loads of other firearms he sells. I just did :).

This just in: M213's are now prohibited. Just because.

EDIT: Apparently, not everyone got that this was a joke. Well, it is.

Don't want to rain on the parade, but if Canada Ammo goes under there is slim to no chance of getting our money back. I would be out nearly $900.00 which to me, at least, is a lot of money. Sorry but I can't put more money into this fiasco. This may not be Canada Ammo's fault but we are the ones paying. I phoned Marstar today and asked about their VZ-58S. The guy on the other end of the phone did not sound happy at all and said everything is on hold. I see the day of the fun rifles coming to an end. No I don't intend on getting a VZ-58S or any other type of scary looking rifle ( not that you can ) because the money is gone and no T97A. Just my #####ing.

I've revised my post. I meant that I don't think the loss of the T97's will kill Canada Ammo. Yes it will be a major hit, but he is selling a lot of other firearms. Toks, Grizzly's, Glocks, Sigs, Smiths, Outlaws, Bakcpackers, 1911's etc....All I meant was that the T97 is not the only firearm he's selling.

I'm reading through this thread and i'm thinking to myself - " God, if everyone shot their rifles/handguns half as much as shooting their mouths off everyone here would be pros"

Just my $.02
Good luck to Canada Ammo, and Mar star.
I have written my letters and made my phone calls, have you?
I'm going to give Canam a phone call tommorow, and thank them for the hard work they put into trying to bring cool stuff into Canada, and wish them luck. I have always been treated very well by CanAm and Chris.
I love the Tavor they brought in along with some other cool items I have bought from them.

To sum this post up;
- Everyone needs to lay of the supporting dealers of CGN.
- Write letters, make phone calls, get involved rather then cry.
- Get along with fellow shooters, we all have to stop bickering like grade 3 kids and band together. We have far greater advasaries on our list, what with C-301 going for it's second reading in April, and the anti's trying to shoot it down.

So c'mon meow boys and girls.

I have sent my letters and E mails out to all the cpc MP's, Now I have serious writers cramp.
I really dont know how I will be able to write the cheque for the backhoe and barrels that are booked for early friday morning. (Cover all of your bases guys):50cal:

I cannot believe you are bickering over the money over this fiasco, yes it is a chunk of money, but I think you should be more worried about the gun grabbers than just money. We should choose to continue to buy these modern firearms just because is it our right to do so, when you decide not to, the gun grabbers have won. Step by step, they will take things away from us, and at the end we have given away our rights because you let them do so.

This information needs to be on the front page of the website.

It was a joke.

He's buying another gun from CanAm. How funny would it be if that gun ended up prohib? (Not funny at all, really, but I can appreciate the irony).

I guess I didn't make that clear enough.

hahaha, okay good. I just ordered mine this morning

You will only get rid of the root problem when you no longer have legislation allowing these tests and classifications to take place - but until then, the law has to be followed

Bulls**t. I'm tired of this "it's just a job" crap. Every cog in the machine is essential, or the system fails. Every person that VOLUNTARILY enforces or contributes to enforcing unjust laws needs to be held accountable. Whoring yourself out to some government should not be an excuse to do stupid s**t.

If you guys don't watch the petty bickering the mods will likely LOCK this thread.

I'd like to keep it a discussion of the T97 classification issues rather than have to wade through a bunch of junk posts.

If you have issues with your T97 orders - here's a thought - call Canada Ammo.

She also hinted that maybe someone was "trying to pull a fast one" and that was what alerted them....???? What did she mean by that??

That is telling: They think 'someone' is 'pulling a fast one' when that is exactly what we think they are doing. For argument's sake, how can approving a rifle, giving all permits, and then changing their minds be anything else but 'trying to pull a fast one?' :jerkit:

Well I think the only people pulling a “fast one” is the RCMP. Judging by the confusion and the ever changing classification I think the RCMP was trying a back door stunt, it’s blowing up in their face, this is the first s**tstorm they created under their new masters and I think the reception they are getting from their political masters is different than they are used to from the old Liberal types. I suspect the senior management figured they could keep the minister in the dark as guns are not his interest, but with all the crap hitting the fan they are scrambling to come up with a justification for their actions. Another problem they are facing is that the current creditability of the RCMP with the public and politicians is pretty low, so saying “We know what we are doing” is not going to carry much weight. Making sure the s**tstorm is kept at a high level will sure help everyone involved. Write your MP, write the PM, Van loan, the commissioner of the RCMP, just keep bombarding them. Being dragged into your bosses office because your actions are causing the Prime Ministers Office headaches without good justification is a very uncomfortable place to be. If we can make them back down on this and make doing such stunts a career ending move, it will go a long way to ensuring due process is followed.
