I loved my T-97... well for the time I use to have it.
Was short, ergonomic and well balance. Mags are pieces of crap (like the CQ) so plan to order few mags in the same time if you don't already have an AR with some mags at home.
Overall QC was good enough at that time for me.
Unfortunately, like many of us that had the previous version, I had many miss feed which resulted in a failure. I don't know if it was the feeding ramp or the buffer spring, but when using weak or no canelured ammo such as the Remington UMC, there was many set back on the ammo resulting in a jam of the T-97.
I did not have enough time with it to manage or figured out what was the problem.
I hope Norinco did fix this gremlin, but for me it was enough to not consider this version as "reliable".
What could happen if there is a setback of the ammo but not enough to jam and the ammo was chambered? I think it will result in a maximum pressure and, well you can figure it out
