Tavor FAQ (updated 08 December, 2008)

A fair guess, but where does it go? I installed the new bolt just fine but I don't see anything in the recoiling assembly that even vaguely resembles the little spring they sent with the replacement bolt.

why the .223 REM stamp?

Thanks

CanAm's reply... #34 of this thread...
The chambers are 5.56, that(s) all IWI makes. They are just marked .223 for the civie market.

so whats the verdict on removing the little spring in the trigger mech?
Everyone doing it?
seeing problems with it removed?
removing it completely, or jut disconnecting?

Had a chance to handle the Tavor today, Christ the Mepro M21 sight sucks. Canada Ammo is not doing anyone a favour with those poor sights. Tiny little reticle.

Otherwise nice gun though. If I were to buy one, I'd like the pic rail and just not bother with the Mepro.

Actually I really like the M21 sight with the bullseye (aka Eotech) style reticle. The dot is bigger if you are closer to it, and smaller if you go further like the picture. It's perfect at regular viewing distances. Again just like the Eotech.

The only issue with the sight is the washing out when looking into a brightly light area. So far that is the only criticism.

The quick release levers on mine are also better than the arms levers on my Eotech 553.
