Sold my '94 years ago, and if I can ever find another one, at a decent price, I'll buy one again.
I guess that makes looking on E.E. out of the question!:)

I have a Winchester Model 94 that was given to me by my father-in-law. It's chambered in 30-30 and is one of the guns in my "I'm never going to sell it" safe. It's the only gun that I have that was handed down from a family (or in this case, extended family) member. It was also the second gun that I ever owned, the first was a Model 60 Cooey that was given to me by a friends father, which originally belonged to his grandfather.

Your last sentence makes no sense, whatsoever.
I presume it means you think that things are so high priced on the EE, that you won't get a 30-30 there.
In reality a lot of 30-30 rifles come on the EE for sale, and a lever action 30-30, especially a Winchester or Marlin, are probably the fastest selling guns on the EE.
Are you looking for a 30-30 at market value, or are you trying to get one for half of what they are worth?

Some great-looking guns here. I've had a couple of 94's and a couple of Marlins...but nowadays I can't imagine any thing I would do with a .30-30 that I wouldn't prefer to use a .45-70.:)

20 pages in, and it becomes plainly obvious that 30-30 is a one-off caliber, preferred by social deviants and oddballs.

....typing this as i fondle my 336 :D

A bit OT but kind of interesting with recent developments, is that several bullet makers have newer (premium?) 30-30 bullet designs out.
Woodleigh has a 150 grain in the famous Weldcore, Swift has a 150 and a 170 grain also. So the lonely Nosler Partition 170 RN now has some comapny.
I have not seen the PMC Starfire for sale in the last decade, here in Canada.

Marlin 336, first rifle I ever owned, given to me by my dad. It wore a 4X bushnell when I got it, took that off though.
Its one of those guns that will never be sold.

i have a model 94 made in 1982.
it's the first rifle i bought. i was 15 and and worked all summer to
buy it. i'm now 41 and still have it. it has a william peep on it.
and i've shot a few 3 shot groups in the .5-.7 and a couple 5 shots in 1.1" and 1.4"since i tried 170 gr federal blue box for the first time last year. ( i've always shot 150 remingtons before, it was shooting around 2" and thought it was pretty good)
