The AK- SKS kit ( little update post 440 2015-03-19)( less ABS more wood and metal)

Would be really interesting to drop a sks-d into this, and do that trigger group mod where you move the trigger foreward with bars and makes the grip and trigger closer to the mag, then it would really look like an ak.

Is there a reason the ferrule (is that what it's called?) plate thingy that the lower handguard fits into towards the muzzle is so thick? Aesthetically it would look best to be a bit thinner as on a real ak. I'm assuming that it's thick like that for a reason perhaps? In that case, wouldn't be a big deal as the overall result would still look great. Could the factory one that the factory stock fits into just be used unaltered and ak wood fit with a bit of dremeling?

i altered it to be more easy to print , but will reprint it later plastic is not as strong as metal so i have to had more material but final one will be like this or very close i may change the design of the ferrule that the cleaning rod would stay on ,

Then we need to ditch the Tapco mag. It's not 'AK'. I'd rather have 10 shots than simply a cosmetic change.

To make use of AR15 mags you'd need to alter the bolt in order to allow rounds to be properly stripped from the mag into the chamber, this is only a cosmetic change, and all it was intended to be. I'm pretty sure there was a thread way way back about getting the SKS to work with AR mags, I think there's actually a guy you can pay to do it too.

no thats his old versions, he just finished this: h ttp://www.sksboards.com/smf/index.php?topic=130319.0

he says he has a few companies intrested in canadian distribution too. too much money for me tho but it sure would be nice to run 10 rounds and no damn duckbill!!!

still have 2 hour of printing after that i have to glue together the 2 parts of the stock , before i go bed picture of the entire assembly and stock with be online ^^

i will look to possibly ad a mag release similar to the Ak ...

When I approached Dad003 the concept was to produce a cosmetic change that would make the is into a Type 81 looking RPG styled rifle. IE this stock. There are options for those wishing to modify their SKS receivers to accept AR pustol mags. This isn't it.

yep , the things we want here is to make it as close to a t81 or ak , as a drop in stock , joe blow who have limited skill will be able to put that on his sks , for marcus adapter im not sure at 100% but they use modified ASC mag that why they dont need to mod the rifle , if i readed correctly

someone can't never satisfy everybody it just impossible

Nope, modded the rifle to accept stock pistol mags to stay legal.
