I reviewed this for Christmas in 1976 from my dad. It has been all around the west on every hunting trip I have gone on. I have the original 5 and 10 shot clips that came with it.
I was careless with it when I was young and it developed rust from being in a damp case in my vehicle. I took it to a “gunsmith” in Surrey BC, who re-blued it but sanded the markings off the barrel so I don’t know what model it is anymore.
It still is a tack driver, can hit dimes at 50 yards all day, and gophers don’t stand a chance.
I would love to have it reburbished again as my dad is no longer with us and I want to have it as a keepsake.

The rifle has exceeded my expectations on accuracy. It's a laser with Federal 17gr Amax. Groups much tighter with those than what is on than the test target. I could not be happier with it.
The rest is a SEB NEO standard. Designed and made in Indonesia by Sebastian Lambang, a benchrest shooter and architect. It too is a work of art and function. I normally use it with my F Class Open rifles but the top is adjustable for stocks anywhere from the narrow schnabel of the Anschutz up to 4" wide benchrest guns. I was zeroing the scope yesterday and wanted a stable platform so I used the rest.

There is usually a several month wait. I will warn you, be sitting down when you read the price. If you don't like waiting, I believe there is a shooter out in eastern Canada who imported a bunch the NEOs and is now selling them. I could get his name for you if interested.

I just picked up another 52 this weekend. This one is a 52 C heavy target in a thumbhole stock. It was manufactured in 1952. I had to borrow a friends scope so that I could shoot it. And what a great shooter it is. I shot a 246/250 at 50 meters.

Overall dam good shape and with some elbow grease even better.

Anschutz 1712 (wing safety model) restocked by Canyon Creek Custom Gunstocks (LeRoy Barry and Connie Barry, who does the exquisite checkering).
AAA+ claro walnut checkered by Connie Barry with a wrap-around ribboned fleur-de-lis pattern, glass-bedded; checkered bolt knob, jeweled bolt; Neidner butt plate, looking-glass grip-cap; one-piece Canyon Creek bottom metal, Cooper magazine cover; inletted sling-swivel studs; S&K sculptured projectionless scope mounts (with windage adjustment), Leupold 4.5-14 AO scope; Anschutz 5096 trigger lightened to about 10 oz. Gloss scope chosen to match the high-polish bluing done by LeRoy.

these single shot gals are long in the tooth now but still ###y
Valmet Finnish Lion (I think made in the 80's, has 11mm dovetail machined in the receiver) and Walther UIT made in '69.
Triggers on both are phenomenal.
###y Walther. I have the Twin in UIT. Best single stage trigger made imho
