That is beautiful! I believe it is restricted because of barrel length. Shame! I wouldn't mind one, if it was non-restricted.

This is my second M305 shorty, the first one had a severe over-indexing and after a while I didn't feel it was safe enough to keep shooting. This one however was perfect (thanks Wolverine Supplies). I didn't do much to it really. List of mods are as follows:

- Added Champion 6-9" Bi-pod after installing an improvised front sling swivel.
- Ported the stock on both sides just above the bi-pod for additional gas venting (see above) since I used the original vent hole for the swivel.
- Ported the heat shroud for cooling and a bit of aesthetics :E
- Painted the stock in a Krylon camo olive green with some black detail (still deciding if I want to camo pattern it).
-Threw my old Nikon Monarch 3 4-16x40mm on top of a Hi-Lux M14/M1A 2-piece mount (seems solid so far).
-Disassembled and polished the trigger assembly for a bit of a smoother pull.
-And because you always need additional tools with these Norc 14's, a modified cheek pad with storage pouch.

I also got the Blackrose Tactical Norinco specific muzzle brake for it but I'm holding off on removing the stock flash hider until I can find a new GLFS with front sight capability. Hope you like :)!

Why are you ungrounded, all it takes is 1 wire.
 
Finally got around to posting about my Norc build that I had done up after getting all the parts in. Big big thanks to Jonh172 for all the hardwork - he really made a beauty! I am still waiting on a McMillan Adjustable M3a stock in desert camo. Toying with the idea of doing a m14.ca scout handguard vs a USGI painted sand.

Also have to work on a handload as I haven't had a chance to. So far 168gr Hornday Match gave me 0.9 MOA @ 100m.

Stats:

- 2009 Norinco Receiver (the only Norc part on it!)
- Fulton Armoury Gen II complete bolt (lugs were lapped and have 100% contact)
- Fulton Armoury Op-Rod (tab lapped super tight!)
- Criterion 18.5" Barrel (USGI contour) brand spakin' new
- SEI Good Iron Navy/Coast Guard muzzle break
- SAI NM front sight (scout/tall)
- USGI Rear sight
- USGI gas system
- Sadlak NM grooved gas piston (Titanium nitride coated)
- Fulton op-rod guide
- Sadlak NM op-rod spring guide
- USGI op-rod spring
- USGI Trigger assembly (TRW,HRA and SA mix)
- Sadlak magazine catch
- Smith Enterprise bolt release
- USGI stock with cutout filled, fiberglass reinforced front, rubber recoil pad and devcon bedded for 100% contact - Painted by myself.
- TacPro cheek riser
- ARMS #18 mount, ARMS #22 rings
- Leupold Mark 4 MR/T 2.5-8x36mm M2 TMR Illum reticle
- All parts painted with cerakote matte black

Good call. I got the low ones and it just barely clears the rear peep sight even with it cranked all the way down
 
Put my Elander mags and GS designs mag extensions together tonight. Still debating if I want to replace the ARMS 18 mount on the DA Socom with my Ultimak M8 front rail .



Norinco 22 inch - cut down to 18.5 , blackrose Tactical muzzle brake, gas lock front sight, Archangel stock, upgraded spring rod
DA Socom 18 - Ultimak M8 front rail, Eotech, M1 Garand rear sights, yankeehill bipod adapter,upgraded op rod spring guide.
I had an Arms 18 and bushnell 10x on the Archangel before .I recently traded off another M-305 and put the Ultimak off of it on this one for now.
I will probably put the Arms 18 and a scope back on the Archangel and put the Ultimak on my CQB version .






UPDATE - Just put the Ultimak and the Eotech on the DA Socom today .
